Hey,

I'm still kind of on a Deus Ex high after playing the latest game (I know I'm late to the party!), and am really feeling like a movie or tv series that are along those same lines. I adore the atmosphere of that world!

Basically I am here for movie/series suggestions, that are kind of in the same category.

I'm no anime fan, I've barely seen any of it (though I did quite enjoy Black Lagoon), but I'll take recomendations for those too. English subtitles or voice acting is required as I do not understand word one of Japanese X3.

Thanks!

From what I understand, Ghost in The Shell is a very Cyberpunky anime.

Maybe check out Blade Runner too.

Haven't seen it myself, but i think you might like Johnny Mnemonic. It's with Keanu Reeves. It's about a guy with a harddrive in his head. Something with packet delivery or some other.

If you're willing to give anime a go, I always suggest Bubblegum Crisis and it's spin off series AD Police. BGC is a little more light hearted and ADP is a little deeper, but both cover the cyberpunk anime angle very very well. Oh, and if you are going to try BGC, go for the original 8 episode run and not the more recent remake.

Sounds like you're in the mood for some cyberpunk so that's a +1 for Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell.

Judge Dredd remake.
A friend of mine recommended this and I saw it yesterday, pretty damn awesome! Exactly the kind of world I could see myself getting really into. I understand it's based off previous movies and/or a comic? Anyone know if they are any good?

Saw Blade Runner long ago, really nice movie =3.

Seems like I have to check out Ghost in The Shell, it comes highly recommended from a few of my friends too (although I remain sceptical to their suggestions, the last one they conned me into seing was basically porn...).

Ghost in the Shell, yeah, but you really have to concentrate on that. Very much inspired by Blade Runner.

Also, Syndicate Wars, the game from way back.

The Judge Dredd comics are actually still on-going but you're better off searching for specific limited series. Since it's been running for so long but a few sites more knowledgeable than me should lead you the right way.

There's a bit of nudity in the franchise yeah and the main character's outfit in the first season of the anime is just silly but it's still something worth enjoying and experiencing nonetheless.

If we extend into games... deniable corporate assets aka Shadowrunners, somewhat recently released as Returns in the Matrix. From that, original game itself goes to /tg/ territory.
