Right. That's why the optimized version of Black Ops was a buggy mess for PC and PS3 users last Christmas.

Since Microsoft and Sony are only too happy to keep the tech median sitting right where it has for the last 5 years (since consoles own the market currently), legacy engines still have a market.
Of course, not all engines share the same success story as this one, or Valve's Source engine...yeah, I'm looking at you Gamebryo, you buggy piece of shit.

I never complained about the graphics, they were nice and all.
But definetly the astethics (brown brown brown some blue for the sky brown brown), samey gameplay in each new release and the stagnation of some Engines which were not really good at all is what made me hate CoD.

Really though, if the IW engine is like a Porsche, the Source engine is like a Koenigsegg or Bugatti.
And compared to those, a Porsche might as well be a Camry.

Why would you need to defend a game against the people who aren't buying it anyway?

It's true, I've been lobbied in CoD multiplayer matches with many vulgar, loud, socially inept manchildren. But I've also met some smart, funny and interesting people on those same servers.

In fact, I actually experience more insults, racism, sexism, rudeness and outright childish bullshit in Team Fortress 2. And don't even get me started on Left 4 Dead players. You can be playing Versus as a survivor, make it all the way to the safe room by yourself, and a group of total strangers will still be happy to call you a "******" and vote to kick you. Compared to that, the average CoD player is like the perfect gentleman.
