Devestating news for Pony fans

Lauren Faust will not be able to return as Executive Producer for Season 2. While I'm sure that the many creative animaters and writers will be able to do well, it is at least a little sad that the face of the MLP reboot is leaving so soon.

Well, she hasn't written or directed an episode beyond the pilot, so I don't think there's going to be a correlating drop in quality for the show.

Of course, second season is always the hardest, so who knows how good or bad it'll turn out to be.

Awwww really? Well at least she stays as a consultive producer, but I sure hope it won't degenerate into a mindless kid cartoon in S2. She says it'll be entertaining in a different way, in wonder what she means with different.

She's still somewhat involved for now at least, and you know...
I'm not devastated. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. We don't know how different it'll be, and its entirely possible that it'll not dip at all, and may even improve in some ways. Who knows?

Either way, watching eagerly, both the ponies and Lauren's future endeavours.

It's definitely disheartening to see her go, especially since she was the big one fighting the HASBRO marketing team and attempting to make a good show rather than one big insulting marketing ploy. With any luck, her replacement will both listen to her and follow in her footsteps to try and keep MLP an actual show instead of a 22 minute long commercial.

Well that's no good, hopefully the show will be just as good without her. Having said that like 99% of the internet I've never seen an episode (though I've often wondered what a MLP-themed mod for red Dead Redemption would be like).

Well that's no good, hopefully the show will be just as good without her. Having said that like 99% of the internet I've never seen an episode (though I've often wondered what a MLP-themed mod for red Dead Redemption would be like).

Well since the second series of MLP doesn't air until December, I'll probably change my avatar to something Doctor Whoesk as I have a good couple already from series 6 and we're only 3 episodes in ^_^

That, and other stuff they've done. I heard from a friend that for numerous episodes, they only tacked on a moral because of Hasbro's insistence, one of those episodes being Feeling Pinkie Keen. And that they wanted it to be Queen Celestia except Hasbro forced them to go with Princess.
