Unfortunately, I'm a writer, not an artist, though I have a few mechanical designs (weapons, buildings, vehicles) kicking about.

Still, I like (esp 'Girl and Lantern', pity about the lighting when photographing though...)

You actually can submit literature. (I actually have aliterature-account, but I haven't used it in ages and it's mostly German, so I don't think it's of interest.)

And yeah, I do draw funky things, but I CAN do better, I promise. XD

(It really is a shame about the painting, it looks a lot nicer IRL.)

*meh* I already have a blog for my scribblings...

Still, regarding the painting, it's a pity, because the purple background was supposed to be more understated to emphasize both the sole source of light in the piece and the silhouette. Nicely done regardless of transition to the web. *thumbs up* Keep it going (no need to promise -_-), would be curious about future stuff. (Dammit, I'm supposed to concentrating on my own stuff(!))

I do like silhouette paintings. I should do some more. :3

I'm currently really busy with exams, but I vowed to myself to get back to art once that's over with. So I hope there will be lots of future stuff.

I used to but I kind of got tired of the general Deviant Art climate. It seems like the general workings of the site are much more similar to a high school popularity contest than they are to what one might expect of a website devoted to the serious study of art. While recognition on the site does require some talent, the much more prominent element involved in getting your work seen is favoriting or commenting on as many pieces of other people's art as possible. Not that there's anything wrong with appreciating someone else's work, but not only did I get tired of using the site, I eventually came to find it somewhat embarrassing to be involved with it (as a serious art student, it's not really the kind of place one wants to be, since it's not the sort of place the art world as a whole takes seriously) so I deleted my account.

The art world? You mean the people who pay millions of dollaridoos for or create that kind of stuff?

Personally, I, and probably some other online artists, whether it be on DeviantART or somewhere else, don't take the art world itself seriously because of that.

My art output over the last few months is... slow to say the least. I'm getting back into gear though these last few weeks though after I started overhauling my Universe.

Oh, just a little request should you click my link: Please don't delve too far into my older pieces. You'll discover that my original designs were very derivative of a certain game you are not going to like. (That, and the fact that my characters used to be crappy un-dragon-like emo things before the overhaul- My lesson was learnt XD )
