Im sure most of us have heard of a show called 'Dexter', and no, not Dexters Labratory.
Its a show about a serial killer with a disturbed past. He lives by a code, only killing people who he beleives 'deserves it', and the big twist to all of this is: He works for the Miami police department, as a blood spatter analyzer.

Dexter is most likely my favorite show, and im hooked too it. I personally thought it was very positvely viewed, until just earlier today, when I started stumbling across reviews from all kinds of people, mocking the show, claiming its 'stupid' and 'un-interesting'.

Now that im very well aware about all of the fans, and the people who dont enjoy it, im wondering what your guys' thoughts on the show is?

I love Dexter, trying to show it to my older brother he didn't like the first episodes but he's starting to get hooked. Great show, the end of the first season is like the best thing ever. Haven't seen the 3rd season yet.

If I watched TV I would be watching it for Dexter, True Blood and Supernatural. The Dexter novels are awesome! Expect the 3rd one.

I liked what I saw (from the first episode that was free on PSN). However I haven't seen an episode since and one ep is not enough to base an opinion on.

It was a great show up until Miguel Prado... Basically season 3 focused less on killing and more being a family man, which I didn't appreciate. I watch it for the killing.

I rarely watch TV shows, in fact more recent ones are Arrested Development and Firefly.

However, I do watch and fully enjoy Dexter and think its one of the best TV shows I've seen.

It had a few good moments, but it isn't something I could actually sit down and watch. I'd see my sister watching it while I was on the computer, watch a little, then re-avert my attention.

.. Mind you, I can't put my finger on what exactly irks me about the show. I hate that.

Still waiting patiently for season 4... True Blood is hardly an ample substitute. IMHO, best show on premium television.

I think Dexter is just one of those shows where if you dont like it, your probbably not gonna end up liking it at all. A lot of people seem to have problems with the characters, saying that they're too 'unbeleivable' with all the constant swearing. I have to admit, two of the characters (Doakes and Deb) have the most colorful vocab, but yet at the same time theyre almost the two most likeable characters for me. I think really you might want to give it a second chance, just watch a few episodes from the first season when you can, its a really interesting show.

did they start the new season yet?? better yet, is season 3 out on DVD? the books/show are AWESOME!

It's also about the only reason I'm going to see that movie as the end of the summer 'gamer' doesn't look bad, but M.C. Hall is in it so I'm pumped :D

ALSO epic plot twists are epic.
