So I finally managed to downloaded the open beta for Diablo 3 (It only took me 30 hours). And I played a demon hunter. Well it?s exactly what I expect and not....

Its defiantly dark enough some people were bitching it was too bright and shiny -_-. Its defiantly flashy enough with depth added it as well.

I really like the skill system, it allows for customization while also not being restrictive. First you pick your ability (There is 18 per class about?) Then you can pick your rune, which adds an extra effect to said ability and there is quite a few runes per each ability. The main Issue I have with the abilities is a lack of numbers. It does not tell you how much damage each ability deals so it?s rather hit and miss for effectiveness.

Another gripe I have is the item system. You get spammed with all these junk items that are worth nothing. And when I say spammed I mean it. If they were actually worth anything it would not be as bad, but most of the items are worth 2 gold... That?s just not worth the time. On a similar note the inventory system seems really dumbed down. Every item is 1x1 or 2x1 and you have alot of space. It just feels... unnecessary, I much prefer the Diablo 2 inventory system.

Now I?m not saying "boycott it?s a terrible game!" Because it?s not, it?s a great game with alot of going for it, and you can?t get everything you love. So over all I think this game will be as good as Diablo 2 when it came out or at least a few days after it came out since 95% of people who bought it could not play it.

Played it for a bit. The server being down now is the only reason I'm here :D

As someone who has never played Diablo, nor fully grasped what it is about, I like it but reserve judgement until I (inevitably) buy it and play to some higher levels. The system seems solid, the classes pretty balanced, but at the low level I am at its obvious the game is not nearly as frantic, tactical, or enjoyable as it will later be. I really hope the later game lives up to the promises of the beta, because right now I'm just sinking my time into this hoping it gets better.
