So, its been a little over a week since Diablo 3: UEE dropped, and I was curious how other gamers were enjoying it. I am playing it on my Xbox One, and have been really enjoying this version so much more than the original. The loot drops have been greatly improved, and it feels like I always get rewarded for putting any time into the game. Not to mention the Nephalem Rifts, Adventure mode, Nemesis, etc.

How about everyone else? Has your experience been this good?

So much.

I have a collectors edition on the PC, which I played a bunch on release, until a number of factors including achy hands (clickclickclickclickclickclickclick) and computer issues made me stray away.

But I picked up UEE, and my gosh. Its so much better! The game feels great with a controller, and while aiming is a little less precise, essentially everything else works a million times better. Not to mention, as an Aussie, playing with latency on PC in my solo game was just the worst.

A lot of stuff I cant credit directly to UEE, such as the loot changes and paragon rework, as they're just new to me, not new to diablo. But it definitely improves my opinion, having not played D3 since launch, and coming back to this much more refined game.

Also Im on the same platform as you, so hit me up if you want to gift/nemesis/party.

Sure thing, my gamertag is Riff Moonraker

You bring up another thing I really like about this version, too... The gifts. I have gotten a few REALLY nice things from that, the best being my Ravens Wing bow for my DH. It jumped my DPS up over 200k, and I am getting soooo close now to that illusive 1 million DPS unbuffed...

I got mine on the PS4 and I think I sank around 30 hours in one week, which is a lot, considering it was a really busy week at work. Loving it so far, I took Diablo's head yesterday and just started Act V. The couch co-op is awesome and the controls are just natural on the gamepad.

And I know crusader is easy mode, but I'm just a D2 paladin sucker :)

The Demon Huntress is my main forte, but I have started a crusader as well, and while I have only gotten to level 10 with him so far, he seems to be a powerhouse.

But nothing is going to pull me away from the DH for long. I got the bombardier rucksack from the bloodshard vendor today, and I am able to pull down 5 sentries at a time, now. Thats some seriously withering firepower!

Considering those of us playing it on the next gen consoles, and that Blizzard said we would get the updates the PC gets, does that mean we will eventually get the seasons patch they are putting out, as well?

I'm playing on the PS3 and I'm having fun. Been playing with my friends, and we had our old saves from the original copy, so we were able to just transfer our characters over. Needless to say, we're kind of crazy overpowered already. And our trophy lists are completely messed up. We've defeated Diablo already and have his trophy, but all the bosses before him are still locked because we're able to jump anywhere in the game.

I am loving the new loot drop. In the original, I would spend hours and hours farming for better items, or pieces of ANY legendary set, and I would consider myself lucky if I found one piece. Now though, I already have two pieces of Natalya's set for the Demon Huntress, and I've been getting plenty of other legendary drops. It's much more rewarding now.

I'm also liking that they are continuing the leftover plot threads from the first game, namely your companions and Shen. I'm glad I got more information on all of them.

My only complaint is that the second boss in Act V felt...lacking. I was expecting more of a confrontation than what I got. Not more of a fight, mind you, but more dialogue and stuff. It just seemed rushed, and therefore felt a little out of place.

Oh! And this new nemesis system is pretty entertaining. We killed Diablo and we were talking to everyone at the end of the game, checking our loot, when this monster who has killed me three times popped up. My friend was still stuck in the conversation mode and was slaughtered. Meanwhile, I was frantically trying to get out of my menu and yelling at him, "What did you do? Why are we being attacked now?" It wasn't until I was able to run away and saw the monster's name that I understood what had happened and I thought it was hilarious.

I am assuming that any of the consoles would have the same loot set, so unless I am wrong, I strongly advise you to start hunting for the Marauder set. You will want it for you DH, trust me. :)

You guys are really selling this to me.

I love the regular Diablo 3 but I have to confess I've not played it in quite some time and it has sort of fallen by the wayside and I'm unsure if I'll be inspired to go back to it anytime soon.

BUT, with a swanky improved version for next gen... Suddenly I'm getting my mojo back.

I <3 loot

Yeah, I think you would be pleased. The crusader class, from what I have played, is fun. The Nephalem Rifts are fun, challenging, and so far I havent played the same one twice. The bounties are fun. Bounties and Rifts are very rewarding, loot wise. Loot drops ALOT more, and is ALOT more class specific. Bloodshards build up fast and you can turn them in for shots at legendaries, and I have already gotten three that way. Mob ratio is alot higher on next gen, too, and xp just SCREAMS. I kid you not, I hit level 70 a week ago, and at that time I was a paragon 55. I am now a paragon 89. It is a much better experience now, and I really dont think you would be disappointed. How is that for peer pressure? LOL

I don't like how I've been seeing advertisements for it freaking everywhere since march. Having that video shoved in my face 470 times has become quite tiresome.

One of the devs said season play probably will come to consoles. It may just be later, since setting it up for each platform is some work on their end.

I'm only playing on PC but I'm glad of the console versions since it puts more pressure on bliz to keep the game running smoothly. I just wish we could all play together, especially since the PS4 version is, as far as I know, identical to the PC gameplay wise.

While I can understand where you are coming from, Diablo certainly isnt the only guilty party in this. I honestly see more Destiny stuff than anything, right now. Plus, its all about marketing your game, so you really cant fault them for doing that... its business. ALL of your triple A games get heavily marketed, so they can get the word out and sell, sell, sell.

Personally, I would RATHER wait on it. The game just came out for consoles, so to me it would only make sense to have something like this added several months down the road to add some freshness to it.

Also, I would imagine that the Xbox One version is no different, either. Aside from the Last of Us exclusive stuff, that is.

*edit* I know the mob density has been GREATLY turned up on the One, vs the 360, for example.

I never picked up the PC release, but I am loving the hell out of it on PS4. I stayed up until 5am this morning to get to Act V.

Right. As far as I know, the only difference between current-gen releases and PC is locking/auto-aim for ranged combat. And I would LOVE locking for PC too. Better yet, asynchronous aiming and movement, being a demon hunter would be like playing Smash TV.

Don't the console versions have that fancy dodge roll thing you can do that you can't do on PC?

I guuuuuuess? I cant profess to know what the PC has/doesnt have... but I am guessing you are referring to the right analog stick where you roll in whichever direction you choose? Thats not on PC?

Comes in handy mainly for T-Gobs, at least thats all *I* have ever used it for.... otherwise I just kill em all, and let Kormac sort them out. :)

Yep! Not on PC. They added it in specifically because they felt the console version didnt give quite the precise controls needed to dodge effectively with just analogue sticks. It comes in handy on the console versions, but would totally be unnecessary for the pc (unless you're really bad at clicking where you want to go).

I'm absolutely loving it, my only problem with it is that I've got too many groups of people that ALL need me to be the 4th man in their party! Don't know who to side with as I'll inevitably be letting the rest of the people down!

I played D3 on the 360 so I was able to bring my characters over from that account onto my new PS4.....that alone was frickin' awesome!

Quick question for some true D3 veterans: what's the deal with the Demon Gankers? I was playing yesterday and this ominous music started playing and my controller would start to rumble every couple seconds. Suddenly a giant elite demon jumps out of nowhere, murders my face, and disappears as abruptly as it came. o.o

Later I was playing with some friends and one appeared to try and kill one of my friends. I actually managed to get a look at it's name this time: "Nemisis" with some text under it's life-bar describing it as "Killer Of (insert friend's name here)". What triggers these bastards? I've got a paragon 14 mage at this point so I could understand one coming after her...but at the time I was playing my demon hunter who's only lvl 44.
