Well, I'm downloading the client right now, but I have to leave for work in about 10 minutes. So I won't be able to play until late tomorrow. ¨

Damn society basing everything on money and contribution and stuff!

Does it still have always-on DRM for my single player?

Anyway, glad for people who are looking forward to this. Wish I could too.

Think I may have to pass.

Thanks for the headsup. I really wanted to see Diablo III before buying it because so far Blizzard has alwasy amazed me with their high production values, but this one seems made just to make money.

Exactly what i needed to make an informed choice :D

It's not exactly DRM, more like always-on anti cheat on single player by making the game server dependant. They decided to make this game sort of a Diablo II / WoW hybrid with items that will be bought and sold for money, once they made that choice it is inevitable to have always on anticheats.

I am looking forward to see what their little experiment brings. That said WE WANT LAN FOR MLG SC II!

I for one like that Blizzard went this way for Diablo III, think it's an interesting little experiment in therms of how games and the players pockets interact and am looking to see the resoults. At least it will be much more engaging to watch develop than any of the run of the mill 3rd part sequels I have seen lately.

although there were thease really coool Diablo mousepads at the store....well its not the same as buy the game and suporting their methods......is it?
Yes, fuck the systm. Because apparently the systm has already fucked you.

Sorry, I can't help myself sometimes.

Screw Diablo 3, Torchlight 2 looks far superior.

I love you for letting me know about this, would not have noticed if I hadn't read this post. I've been looking forward to Diablo 3 a LOT.

Having already been playing the Beta, I'll admit that I've been pretty conflicted. I loved Diablo 1, and Diablo 2, hell, I Still play Diablo 2! And while the absolute core of Diablo remains......click on things to kill things till things die and you get loot. Rinse Repeat till you kill (insert awesome sounding demon name with cool backup lore here) The rest of the game has changed pretty drastically.

I am guaranteed a copy of Diablo 3 no matter what I do, my only concern is if I'll play it for a week and be done, or if I'll still load it up when I'm bored and never have it NOT installed on any computer or laptop I own 10 years later.

It's terrible. T_T
I've been playing the beta for the last week now and... It's just a packet of Meh honestly.
I feel like torchlight 2 is going to be much more enjoyable, i'm just not at all impressed with DIII

I've had the beta for months. I'm glad you all get to experience the severe mediocrity that is Diablo 3. Latency issues in single player? Oh boy, you better believe it! Watch, in awe, as the game lurches while it contacts the server to see what loot to drop.

Also, enjoy the 15 GB download size.

If my time playing the WotLK beta has taught me anything it's that playing the beta tends to turn you off buying the finished game (because heck you've done it all before right?)

Sorry Diablo III, as much as I want to play I think I'll wait 'til you're done.

I wonder if people finally learned that you hold the mouse button instead of constantly clicking at pretty much any situation

You didn't roll a Monk? Seriously Monks are ridiculous. 27 enemy combo at level 4/5 with an elite amongst those 27 and those carrion bats can be quite annoying.
Either that or you played Demon Hunter and A. Forgot to use Caltrops or B. Didn't stay behind the Barbarian.

The actual fuck? That much just for a beta? Please tell me you're joking.
Cap: "curry favour" indeed.
I'm dead serious. I don't know why it's so huge. Maybe it's downloading the entire game and only locking some of it?
It's the Skeleton King's fatass. Yep definitely the culprit. Though there is actually only 4.5 GB. You're only required to download like 2 GB to actually play but are recommended to download 3.5 GB. 4.5 GB is if you have the time (which was like less than two hours for me.)

Edited as AC got the file sizes wrong. 15 GB is actual release... Probably.

Cut me some slack, I was 10 when I last played D2, and I haven't gotten the D3 beta(hence why I'm excited) :p

Also, considering how much I've been playing SC2 and DOTA 2 lately, where I constantly click, I don't think there will be much mouse-holding-down happening.
