For all wondering about said Dinosaur, here is the vid.
This said video also exhibited a massive battlefield that of which the series is famous for.

.....Which incidentally is also perfect for full fledged DINOSAUR ON DINOSAUR COMBAT.

Thus the greatest game in existence shall commence

While not everything is entirely clear, I can positively say with a clear conscience...That everything is better with Dinosaurs.

Yeah, after seeing that extended video from e3 this game really looks great. As much as I dislike EA as a corporation I will have to pay them for a copy of this game, would be punishing only myself if I didn't.

Wait... So can I play as a dinosaur?

How many dinosaur species can I play as? Do any of them have special attacks when controlled by the player?

In fact, what we need is a FPS that is just tons of dinosaurs shooting each other and eating dead things to regen health. A cover based shooter where you have to take cover to regen health because eating your slain enemy out in the open is just being stupid.

If Brink was basically the same but all the models were dinosaurs, instead of cartoonimen, I probably would own it and play it unceasingly.

Long story short:

- person from activision (supposedly) posts on /v/, asking why /v/ despised call of duty so much, and what they could do to improve it;

- /v/ replies by asking for dinosaurs.

- DICE see's this, and puts a toy dinosaur in the e3 trailer.

- DICE tweets a image of said 4chan thread and the dinosaur

- 4chan goes nuts.

Guys, try to remember the whole purpose of this. It's not to appeal to a asinine online group of gamers, or to show how close they are to the community albeit they are arguably one of the best after that. No, the whole point is to give a giant finger to Activision and the CoD community and say: We've been in this longer and actually know what we're doing, stand aside and watch as we make a golden game based not on the dull whims of a trigger happy, spaztastic, short sighted community, but a warefare game that actually portrays... wait for it... war. Oh and of course, go fuck your selves.

I....I.....words fail to express my happiness. Never bought a BF game till now. This is marketing done right.
Yep.

More devs need to interact with their consumers and fanbase like this.

I'm adding DICE to the my list of devolpers who listen to their fans.... Bungie, Gearbox, Valve... and Dice.
Don't forget Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed 2 was basically the result of everyone being gathered round a big table and told "This is a list of everything people hated about AC1. FIX IT!" and what resulted is probably my favorite single game of all time.

Also Bioware (although some may argue that they listened to the feedback from ME1 a little too well)

OT: Wow, DICE will even try and please 4CHAN!?!? They really must need the money...
Hey, if that money goes towards getting Mirror's Edge 2 out quicker, I'm all for it.

Wow. That's just awesome. Gotta love it when people do such stuff.
I really didn't expect to see the dinosaur in the trailer, though.

Seconded.

Though you know what would be really cool?

Mirrors edge with a portal gun.

Pft, dinosaurs are all well and good, but I see a severe lack of pirates and/or ninjas. Just fucking pitiful how pirates/ninjas aren't given even a hint of representation in this game. Ponies could be an interesting addition as well, but fuck it, Total War: Shogun 2 had motherfuckin' ninjas, so I see no logical reason why Battlefield can't partake in some ninja-ness! Pirates, meh.

OT: Really though, this is really awesome. Makes me want to support DICE even more, though I will probably wait for Battlefield 3 to go on sale on STEAM like I do with all my PC games.

Absolutely incredible. I don't even play Battlefield but the inclusion of dinosaurs will definitely gain my interest.
Same here. Somehow I feel all games could benefit from the adding dinosaurs.
