My sister had one.

It met the business end of my cricket bat. I never really saw where it went, all I know is that it flew far and it was the best hit I've ever made.

I remember trying to get all the hair off of one, and filling it's mouth with a load of food.

I never had one and can't remember who these ones belonged to.

I never had one, but my neighbor did, and I remember she brought it over when she slept over one time and they fucking snore and wake up in the middle of the night going "PLAY WITH ME." It creeped me out something fierce.
And this is why mine lived downstairs in the living room, while I was safely tucked up in bed!

I had one. Dear god, those things are evil. I turned it off, it still talked. I took out it's batteries, it still talked. I put it on my driveway and smashed it with a hammer, it still talked... and it cracked my driveway.
I swear that happened to me too. It's been so long ago, I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure I took the batteries out of mine and it still talked. I thought I was making it up in my head, but no, it surely was possessed by satan. And those things made so much money, too.

I've had contact with one. It was a highly disappointing experiece.
I lost whatever respect I had for recreational robotics on that day.
Genetic engineering would have likely turned out an abomination, but abominations at least would teach us of the potential lying dormant within genes. Furby taught me only that androids (furdroids?)and artificial intelligence will always be pipe-dreams, much as modern PCs were only the province of science fiction until the discovery of the silicon chip and compact discs.
Maybe if they make organic circuitry someday, they can do the little buggers justice.
Designer pets than can act as computer data back-ups.
Now,that would make up for the impracticality of the jumpsuits and jetpacks future that never came to pass.

I did. I used to shut him up by locking him in the closest for a while. xD

After a while, he scared me too. I wanted to just throw him away but my mom wouldn't let me. So...I stuffed him into my clothing donations bag one year and was able to get rid of him that way. The donation box said no toys, just clothes but I was desperate. -laugh-

Has anyone seen the Shelby too? Now that thing's creepy...0.0 A furby squished into a shell.

I didn't have one because they scared me and they wouldn't shut up. I was scared that it would get a knife and kill me in my sleep.

I had a white one and when it refused to learn how to speak German I killed it by ripping it's insides out (the batteries)

Skinning it didn't work just made it incredibly scary for it to talk after 5 years when it was skined and at the bottom of a box, Nearly shat my pants

i got one from my grandma. i was scared shit less i thought it was a gremlin like gizmo.
i hid it in my closet where it made noises every night until the battery died. i just recently put a .45 in the back of its hell spawn head. after teaching it to scream.

My sister had TWO!!!! My god i wanted to destroy those things, but my sister (suprisingly violent for a 8 year old at the time) wouldnt let me. One night I hear her scream, run in there and shes practicly throwing the furby accross the room. Apparently she had it by her bedside table and it turned on in the middle of the night and said "play with me". Furbys were gone the next day.... although i didnt get to destroy them.

I never owned a Furby, but I loved the TV show that he's originally from as a kid so, in retrospect, I'm surprised that my dad didn't get me one for Christmas.
