I loved Miranda. Her issues were very minor compared the wangst-fest that was Tali and Jack. Tali was very cute, but the stupid rip-off tease scene where Shepard sees her face and you don't bugged the crap out of me.

Miranda is pretty damn kinky too--the whole crew gets kidnapped and the first idea that pops into her head is "let's go screw on the floor of the engine room!"

I also thought Jacob was a cool character, though everyone seems to prefer Garrus or Thane. I was pissed that Garrus's character development from the first (if you were Paragon) is ignored.

Of course not, she's Australian.

Seriously though, she looks like Michael Jackson and always has this asinine grin on her face. I always felt the desire to smack her in the mouth. Seriously, no matter what is occurring in the game she's grinning like an idiot.

Good characterization and an admirable job with voice acting couldn't save me from the way they designed her to look. Not to mention the idiotic, spandexed, cleavage-windowed costume.

Am I the only one who thought of Legend of Dragoon?
Nope. Miranda was quite an annoying character in LOD, she appears out of nowhere, with no story behind her apart form 'orphaned princess', and replacing a well-established character just so they could have a Light Dragoon for the next 1.5 discs. Thankfully they try and give her an identity in the final disc, but whether it was good enough is up to interpretation. I did enjoy the Rose Monster bit though.

I haven't played Mass Effect 2 yet, so sorry.

The only reason I didn't like her was because of the first time you meet her. When she turns to Jacob and says "I'm never wrong Jacob, I thought you knew that by now". It was just so arrogant that it turned me off her for the rest of the game.

I liked her well enough, she had a better backstory than Kaiden, at the very least. I think Bioware really hit a home run on this one, none of your party members are really bland, whereas Kaiden definitely was in the first one, and although I like her, one could make a case for Liara being bland as well.
I can see how Liara was a bit boring, but Kaiden? I loved Kaiden, he had been experimented on since he was a kid and didn't let it get in the way.

I HATED Bastila! Only Bioware character I actually hate, but I hated her. Might be because I am a female jedi and there is nothing likeable about her if you are a female jedi, trust me!
I also disliked Bastila intensely. Self-righteous cow. And I don't like the fantasy version either (Aribeth).
I KNOW!!! And the worst of it is the first bit of sith brainwashing and she's a convert! She isn't just self righteous, she's weak minded too!

Rather two dimensional and dull especially with the fact that if you reject her she doesn't say a word to you until the end of the game.

Poll?

I could really done without her, I often forgot all about her till the engineers made a joke about her. Maybe I dislike her accent or maybe her attitude, I dunno.

And let's not forget the bit where she gets herself heroically captured so that you can run away from Darth Chinless, just after you've finished handing him his ass in a single combat round, and could, had she not have done so, have ended the threat to the galaxy right there and then.

Tell me about it! *****, I hate her, she is the only thing in the game that makes me want those dark side points! :-O

Same here.. I couldn't stand Jack , she was the typical drama queen and I did her stupid side-mission just for the achievement and never took her on my team again. She was designed to be the badass character , but in my view she was the most pathetic.
Also, I preffered Jacob as well, he was really cool , but it bugged me that he insisted on being so formal in all of our conversations , so not much fun from his part.
Grunt and Legion were very cool too...I mean come on...his name is LEGION ! :D And when you ask him why did he use a piece of your old armor to fix himself up he says "there was a hole" .awesome

I really did like Kelly and the two engineers(who's names escape me). Those two were pretty entertaining for me
Kelly is my lady, everyone else backs off! :p

The engineers amused me too. Especially when the girl's talking about technology and the guy goes 'I love it when you talk dirty.' They just made me chuckle.

OT: Miranda was alright, nothing incredible. Jacob was the best human teammate in my eyes. But Miranda was the most useful character in combat, so she often found her way onto my teamw ith another ally.

Mordin was my favourite newly-introduced character, Tali my favourite past character (and character in general).

I didn't think she was so bad. It was a little weird how her facial expressions pretty much never changed though.

Honestly? I think she's a bit of a Canon Sue. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CanonSue] And her personality just doesn't seem to be as fleshed out as, say, Jack's.

I don't hate her, per se, but while I did choose Tali over her, if I had to choose between saving, say, Mordin or her from certain death, I'd choose Mordin.

Also I keep thinking of this whenever people mention Miranda's good looks:

I feel she was an underdeveloped character, especially given that she was presented as one of the main ME2 NPCs. I felt that way about all of the party, though, so hopefully any future DLC for the game will expand upon their stories and personalities.

She actually has a weird ass, it looks like she has really tight knicker elastic under her butt cheeks.

didn't like miranda from the outset. anyone with that accent would be far less stuck up about themselves. she didn't run away from daddy, she ran from the rest of us.

tali and legion my favourite characters, with mordin, garrus and grunt (rip) closely following. didn't care when samara died. i can't stand black and white morality. my character was paragon but rode the grey choices. sometimes you have to break the rules to get the results.

most of the game was tali and garrus. fully recommend taking the stairs on the citadel with those two in tow. funny shit

yeah, miranda is a bit of an annoying character if im honest, and i agree with what has been said before, shes too much of a lapdog for cerberus, you have to get her to "warm up" to you, its all a bit waring and annoying and by the time she does warm to you, it took so long i really couldnt give a shit.

also, on a slightly related note, does anyone else think that legion is a bit of an underused character, seeing as you only aquire him toward the end of the main mission, i think there should have been more time to and more missions relating to him to "flesh him out a bit"
