Did biology screw over women?

I'm not a man so I can't say if there are things that men go through that could rival periods, pregnancy, or giving birth. But I think society has done a pretty spectacular job of screwing over women for the last few thousand years. Things are getting better now of course, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't biology that told women for centuries they are nothing more than the property of their husbands.

It wasn't biology that screwed over women.

OT-I guess you could say they got "screwed over" physically compared to human males, but a lot of species have it a lot worse in terms of gender inequality.

(I doubt there are as many disadvantages to having a large penis)
If only you knew.

Multiple orgasms. They're doing fine.
The female orgasm actually has no purpose, so I suppose that's one thing we have.
As nice as multiple orgasms are (More so if you're lucky enough to find a 'talented' partner xP) they don't quite make up for it >_<;
It's also a better feeling orgasm from what I've seen. I'll spare the gory details but the last few girls I've been with made me feel kinda ripped off in that department.
There is a trick we can do... Men have a 'point of no return' whereas we don't. So we can hold it off to make it more intense and last longer.
I've also realised we seem to make a lot more noise than men do, so I guess it feels better for us.

For for the dirty details, just a bit of info in case you didn't know xP

Women can't accidentally sit on an ovary like a man can his testicles. So...that's a point in favor of women if you ask me. Plus they generally live longer.

I am a runner, and the idea of running with two flabs of fat attached to my chest makes me very happy I was born male.

Superior strength, and the lack of complications associated with the female reproductive system is nice too though.

It's pretty awesome, it must be said. Generally they're longer too and we have more than one type of orgasm.

Types? Explain, I have yet to ever hear this.

Unless you mean "good" and "better".
Generally, it's just a difference in length and intensity really, nothing major. Freud said there were vaginal and clitoral orgasms but that has, as with most things Freud ever said, been poopoo'd by modern research.

Dear Alice will explain.

I wouldn't blame biology but rather a few evolutionary decisions made. Big bosoms, physical prowess and fat-to-water ratio are all genetical traits I'm sure could be dealt with through selective breeding.

Anorgasmia in 10 to 15 to who-knows percent of women plus an unclear amount with only occasional ones. It certainly has its downsides.

Our pain threshold goes ZOOMMF just before we give birth too. It's (hopefully, I do want kids in the next few years) not as bad as it sounds.

Suffering menstuation? Not everyone has heavy periods or even cramps. I know a lot of people like to ***** about that shit, but it's really not universal by any means. And I don't think there has ever been a time where the weight of my boobs or my level of upper body strength has hindered or inconvenienced me in my everyday life. I've also never once had the desire to see men portrayed in the same dumbass juvenile ways women usually are in the media, so there's that. The last thing I want to see is even more retarded looking video game characters, lol.

Maybe I'm just the most fortunate female on the planet, but I doubt it. The only thing that has gotten in my way that's probably due to having female physiology that I can think of is trouble playing some classical music on the piano because my hands can't reach as far you sometimes need to (I can barely reach an octave with right hand). But that's more a matter of the piano having been designed for people with manhands.

Seriously, how old are you?
It's just that a couple of my female friends occasionally tell me that periods are a *****, just stuff like that in general.

And I'm 16. Sorry if I caused any offence; it's just something that I'd been thinking about for quite some time, in terms of the whole gender equality progression. I wasn't implying that there was any "better sex" or anything like that, just whether or not females may've received more biological disadvantages that could've also contributed to all the shit they have to put up with in society.

No, but I've heard that trying to wear clothes on breasts without them is pretty damn uncomfortable.

Possibru. And the absolute worst thing that women have to endure is that they can't pee whilst standing up.

Well... they can, but the end result wouldn't look so good...

I have an incredibly painful illness related to my lady parts that despite being quite common wasn't diagnosed for 20 years.

It's kind of affected my whole life.

So yes I feel 'screwed over' but maybe I'm slightly bias ;)

Men have to live with the pain of getting hit in the nuts. Women are more flexible and have higher manual dexterity(on average). Women are better at multitasking. Women have a faster reaction time to auditory stimuli. Men and women are very different, but if you really want to think about it in that way, men have just as many disadvantages(biologically) as women.

Not particularly. Longer lifespans. Society did screw over women, though.
Actually, recent studies and statistical analysis show that, in first world countries at least, women are losing ground on the lifespan curve. http://www.kjrh.com/dpp/lifestyle/men-gaining-on-women-in-life-expectancy

Honestly, I don't invest much in gender politics anymore. We'll all end up transhumans at some point, where gender will be an obsolete concept 'cause we'll all be awesome cyborgs.

Here's the general forumula: Man =/= Woman, but Cyborg > Human. Now nobody is screwed over and we're all happy. Except the ones who refused to become cyborgs, like the Amish or some shit.

Wear a cup, problem easily solved, not really an issue.

Women are more flexible and have higher manual dexterity(on average).
That is/was a myth. This was disproved in the 90's. I'll see if I can dredge up the articles...

Women are better at multitasking.
ALSO a myth, humans in general are terrible at multitasking, except for rare individuals who seem to have no problem splitting their attention amongst different subjects without losing focus/productivity. Scientists are still baffled as to what allows these people to perform multiple duties at once, as far as I know.

Women have a faster reaction time to auditory stimuli. Men and women are very different, but if you really want to think about it in that way, men have just as many disadvantages(biologically) as women.
Can't comment on that one, have never reviewed any findings on auditory reaction time. Meh?
