Once during english class. My classmates were being total douches so I went out, made a few stink bombs, and came back later...you can fill in the rest...

Only a few times, got in trouble for a mock exam, bout it really, I tended to just sit in class day dreaming a lot, I don't think it was healthy.

Me and my mates arrived for registration, then walked out, went to London, got drunk in while playing snooker then went to a strip club and got beaten up and thrown out by the bouncers because my mate was getting larey. We were fifteen, and it was bloody hard trying to explain where we'd gone and why we'd been beaten up.

Around the same time we used to play poker in the common room. We used to think we were really cool, mature and sophisticated. What pricks we were!
You, sir, get a gold star for having the most epic life.

I never walked out of school, but I did fake illness a few times to get out of World History, mostly because my teacher was ultra-conservative and obsessed with America, and therefore unqualified to teach the course properly.

Leaving the school as in skipping? Consistently, yes. In my final years I wasn't there for weeks at a time, I left whenever I felt like it and my class organized mass skipping in which everyone left for the rest of the day. The principle even organized a meeting about it and we got shouted at but nothing else.

It was pretty fun back then.
Did similar myself, in the end of my high school years they had no clue if I was at school or not with how many classes I skipped. I even stopped going half way through my final year, didn't step foot in the school for months and they still marked me off as 'successfully completing high school.' They really had no clue if I was there or not, and had simply stopped trying to keep track of me.

I had reasons but I won't get into them.

Nah, never left school permanently or by playing hooky. Don't really see a reason to, really, school keeps me busy during the day and considering how the school system has pretty much hardwired me to care about "the grade" all the goddamn fucking time it wouldn't sit me right if I messed up on a homework assignment or something just because I decided to wack-off for an extra day.

many times, but then again, you could sign yourself out of school if your grades were high enough and had permission.

but illegally (you're truant if you do it in the US), I did once. I didnt care for the way a teacher had insulted me, so I told him to bend over so I could shove that yard stick he hit us with up his ass and try and dig out the stick thats already in it and he tried to give me a whack from the yard stick, but i was a bit too quick for him. so now, firmly embarrassed that I'm making him look like an ass (well, more of one), he said I could either get in line witht he rest class or I could get the hell out.

so I quoted cartman and said screw you guys, I'm going home, and left. Wound up with two days detention.

WHen I was a freshman, our school implemented a tucked in shirts, belt, pants only policy. Sophmore year half the school walked out and sat on the football field in protest. We won the use of shorts back.

I was in this school at one point.

I think I had more than enough reason to walk off multiple times. Though had to go back at the end of the day to get the bus else I would have been stuck about fifty miles from home.

And the worst part of it? My nan (grandmother) was the person blamed for the curtly/neglect/abuse and without any actual evidence (because there was not any) I was taken into care. Walked out of there a few times as well but 300 miles is a bit far to get home.

Sidenote: If you actually read the whole story and think the guy should have got more than a suspended sentence, he died the next day.

i went to my first semester of uni, when i got a bad case of "hernia in the back" and i was unable to walk straight for like a year, obviously i didnt finished that semester

then i came back to a different school, entered a new carrer and after the first semester was finishing i told to my self, "damn... i lost the pace of school" one year bedridden with only videogames made me realize i didn't wanted to keep studying, so i got out and began working

i was 21 at the time, now i am 25 and the manager of a small company, i always had a good head for business, so yah, it wasn't that bad.

Couldn't cause I lived an hour away from my school and couldn't drive.

But, as a result I went on to college and have a degree, and I feel (somewhat at least) more educated than others I know who gave up on school :)

Nope. I didn't have to. The classes I didn't give a shit about I just slept through. The teachers didn't seem to mind. During the time I had open, I was fortunately friends with the security staff, so they just let me leave...probably because whenever I needed to be in class, I was.

Now that I'm in college and have to sit through 4 hour classes, I wish I could do the same as I did in high school, but sadly I can't.

So they give you a detention for that but the teacher is allowed to hit pupils with sticks?
Neat.

Depends on how literally you take phrase. I've walked away from my school work and walked up to the nearby 7 eleven to get something to drink several times but I was homeschooled sooo.... yeah I don't think it really counts.

Yeah, I'm supposed to respect my elders.

Besides, I went to a rough school. Well, not rough, but we were really old fashioned. We were (and to my knowledge) still are allowed to bring guns if you have a legal permit for them and are aapproved for hunting. thats why a lot of kids with good grades would leave early, or come in late.

When I lived in a rural area I used to collect my work at the beginning of the day and walk the train tracks home, did the work whilst walking, took me six hours

turned up at the exams and aced them, teachers were SUPER pissed off. I had something like 35% attendance and was in the top 90%. Good times, I can't do that now because I live 5 minutes walk from my house AND all the work is done on school computers.

Yes. All the time.

I shan't delve into detail as of yet, because it's late and I need to sleep, but I might update this post later.

Not at highschool, there would have been nothing to do (I lived out of town had to take buses) and the teacher went crazy over it. In university, sure all the time in first and second year I skipped lectures, which I kind of ended up regretting having to sit some exams again. But it's all good now.
