Hello, I'm new to this excellent gaming forum and so I want to start a topic myself. So the topic is: Did you ever want to kill your console, PC or game disc? I mean like burning it down to a molten cheese-like paste, smashing it with a hammer or throwing it out of window... If you did it, why?

I did it once with an old Mickey's Magical Quest for the SNES. I sucked so much at that game (I was 7 years old at that time), that I hammered at few nails into the game, so I had literarily "beaten" the game. xD

So now it's up to you, tell me your dark secrets. =)

I was playing Soul Caliber III on my PS2. At one point I got so fed up with the absolute bullshit that game was pulling (beating me with no health visible and I was still at half life, doing moves from other characters, vanishing hit boxes) I grabbed the game and tossed it across the room, there was a small gap under the door, and it went sliding across a linoleum floor. Best part was this was in the lounge of my dorm at college and several people sitting around studying and going places witnessed my childish tantrum.

Also welcome, welcome. Have fun, mind your manners and don't go in the basement.

I've been wanting to kill my Sonic 06 game disc for a while. I'm sure you all know why. I don't get why I still haven't snapped that thing in half.

Destroyed my 360 after it red-ringed one week after getting repaired for red-ringing.

I went Office Space on that piece of shit.

4 nights ago I wanted to snap my controller in half because Derek Brassard can't put the puck in the fu*king net in NHL 10! I FEED HIM GOLD!

...I'm just being angry. My Be A Pro player is good but I suck at scoring in that game so I rely on my excellent passing or giving my linemates juicy rebounds to get points. Problem is my line doesn't have a scorer on it, I'm stuck with Brassard and Kris Versteeg, both playmakers. I fell behind 1-0 early in a playoff game, but made some beautiful plays to get Brassard wide open in the slot several times in the game. Not once did he capitalize on these chances. We lost 2-1 and I almost threw my controller through the TV. I lost that game and series.

Was in a foul mood one night and decided to play some TF2. Not a good combo. I just about trashed my keyboard setup, which is an old model G15 and an Ideazon Razr.

Actually, no. I've never broken a game controller (TV remotes, yes. But not out of rage.) or console/pc/disc, and don't understand why anyone would get mad enough to break a controller. Has always seemed silly to me.

Nope. Maybe a bit, when I was kid, but even then just smashed the keyboard for the most part. Oh and actually I intentionally scratched and broke a disk for a driving game that was completely broken and way too buggy gameplay-wise anyways.

My laptop recently suffered from a hardware failure, my fist through its motherboard, I'm normally cool calm and collected and nothing bothers me, but this 8 year old laptop fucked my £70 Logitech mouse... my PC seems to have improved in performance since I killed its brother though, maybe it got scared.

I'm currently hanging the remains of the laptop in front of all my electrical equipment as a warning to them, remember if you fuck up, I bought you I can break you, my PS3 has suddenly started working again, pretty sweet.

Heh, the threat appears to be working.

On topic, I haven't broken any controllers or discs, but one level in Tenchu put my fist through the wall. The explanation for that one did not go down well with the parents, and these days I try to manage my anger a little better.
