Did you get banned on any other forums?

Worst I've gotten here was a warning message once (not probation or anything official though).

Closest I've come: In a video game I used to play (Cyber Nations, not sure if anyone's heard of it), I finally decided to stop playing (it's a huge time-sink). But I was in the government of an alliance, so I didn't want to just outright quit at first. Then I realized: I still had Admin powers over the forums, because I'd helped create the alliance. So I DFE'd the forums, and left a message along the lines of "lol guys, I quit".

Not banned, but certainly never went to the site again.

I think I got temp suspended from Woodie Hearn's /gu forums. Cant recall over what, but I think it had something to do with saying something negative about WoW that started a massive flamewar, while Hearn just happened to be away from access for a few days

Had more to do with Hearn being a self righteous douche nozzle who was intolerant of any ideas other than his own (maybe he has grown up by now), than what I said was being offensive or inflammatory.

Not, here though I imagine I've made a few posts that would warrant punishment but the mods overlooked them. Mainly in my early days here, posting a couple of "this" answers because I really didn't know that was against the rules. The mods didn't see them so I didn't receive any punishment, I learned from reading other posts that it wasn't okay and haven't done it since.

I've probably done my fair share of flaming in my early times here, not intentionally but I imagine the language and wording I used wouldn't have been the type I'd use these days.

The only ban I've ever received was on another forum ( I won't say which but I hang around it a lot and have done for some years) I got a 24 hour temp ban for repeatedly breaching the swear filter, haven't done it since, didn't complain afterwards, I just got on with posting and such, and learned my lesson.

I did get a post delete and a warning on the Gamespot site for getting really, really annoyed with the people on the PS3 versus 360 graphics comparisons. Mostly trying to point out that they aren't photoshopped (that would be illegal)and Microsoft/Sony (depends on which graphics got the thumbs up) aren't paying gamespot off for it. I was posting on there fruitlessly for days trying to get some of the people there to see why it was pointless and that they were wrong (not in there opinions but in the whole photoshopped claims)... Yeah how naive was I to think I could actually change there opinion. So eventually I had enough and pretty much said "Fine, theres no way I'm going to convince you, go a head and have your little war", they gave me a warning for trolling. I was going to reply back asking if they'd seen any of the posts on there... You know, the ones that simply say "Xbox sucks" and how can they call me out for trolling when they let posts like that stay... However I thought it would be pointless and thus I just left it.

Other than that... Nope.

Got permanently band from a music theory forum. This dude was talking about getting another vintage guitar (some sort of strat) but admittedly didn't know how to play basic chords. I told him that learning to play should be his priority. Then some randomer flipped out and said he could do whatever he wants and then reported me for verbally attacking the OP which I didn't.

HYARG! avasty mates, I have been suspended once for condoning piracy

EDIT: I've also been kicked off a couple (which is to say "a lot of") BSA chat rooms for expressing my love of freedom of speech and because I already had the communications merit badge and didn't want to be there.
I was suppose to spend an hour making sure the cub scouts didn't destroy the laptops, but I instead spent the day as mod-fodder.
I remember one thing I did: I made my username "Naked Snake" and the mods got pissed and changed it to "Well Dressed Snake"

I got banned from my Neopets guild back in '07. Got in an argument with the leader's "pet" (he treated this girl like the Queen of the world), and managed to prove her wrong. I got banned... forever. People were in an outrage about it, and soon got themselves banned (About 50 people).

Worst I have gotten in this site is a warning for being insensitive, but I would call it motivation...but the moderators don't think so. Anyway, I don't go on many forum sites, so I havent been banned from any yet. Not even suspended. I am a pretty risky poster at times, so we will see.

Westboro Baptist Church. Twice.

I spammed, flammed and, trolled the hell out of them and it was funny as hell xD. The second time I was banned it was because I got into a flame war with one of them. It took about 10 posts before they kicked me!

A great thing is that for every infraction, you are given a number of points. I don't remember how many points I got first-time around but for the final ban I had about 50,000. Also, and this is the best part, when you join you are a 'unsaved Garbage'. When you get banned you are 'Damned to an eternity of Hellfire' or something along those lines.

Seriously?! That's amazing! I want to go see how many points I can rack up.

Picked up a probation here once. Only time I've ever had forum moderation on me on any forum.

I apologize, it is Landover baptist church but same basic ideals.

http://www.landoverbaptist.net/?s=c93cb071cd5f7eafee524bcaf8bf3f6e

that's the home page. You can sign up there and get started but don't expect to be able to start your own threads. I was metatron and I was feiakid316 but good luck finding me at this point.

A word of warning!

Many of the threads have photos and many of those photos, themes and, posts are deeply disturbing. It's been said that the whole forum is a sort of parody and I've found it's easier to accept that then to believe that those people actually believe in what they type.

Other than that show no mercy.

I've got some probations on here and such, for stupid reasons but whatever. I don't see anywhere near as much of that going around now.

I think GameFAQS I got a bit of modding years ago and probably a few things here and there. That site has been terrible ever since it merged with Gamespot.

This is the only forum I have ever been on where I was punished.

And oh, have I been punished.
I feel your pain. I must have been probated 5 times already.
In that short a time? I am going on 4 years as a fairly active member without mod wrath.

Then again I haven't ever been on the receiving end of wrath on any forum. Which is your answer as well OP. Closest was an account being terminated, but that was an automatic thing for inactivity.

Self-imposed exile on MMORPG.com

The mods there are 12 year olds. Apparently highting other posters arguments and then tagging the various logical fallacies used line by line counts as "retaliation."

Also can't stand their ranking system. Any random tard can plagiarize their way to a full ranking in a matter of weeks.
