Title says it all. Did you gain those dreaded pounds?

For those not in the know, the freshman 15 is an (somewhat arbitrarily set) amount of weight gained in a student's first year at college or university.

I have just finished university and I have not gained any weight since high school. My metabolism is still fast and I get exercise.

Don't think so, Whenever I put on weight, my body ends up working it off naturally with little activity.

I'm a very skinny kid who eats very unhealthy food. I've accepted that I'll probably gain the freshman 15 when I go to college next year...

Not actually weighed myself but yep, I put on weight. Just this year I got myself a bit of a beer belly in my first year or Uni, even though I walked 30 minutes each way to and from campus daily which is more exercise than I normally got at home.

Dude... I didn't gain 15. I lost twice that.

In a healthy way. Not in a "OMG I'M SO FAT *finger own throat*" way.

That depends on how much fat you have. If you're amazingly lean, you could gain 15 or more pounds. I've seen it happen with some people in boot camp when they had a regular reasonable diet and exercise.

Just about. Although, thanks to much more physical activity, about half (maybe more) of that was probably muscle.

It works. Hovering around 160-165 is a decent weight for me.

Once I moved out and was able to pick my own food and escape "family meals" I dropped 35 pounds my first year away. Yogurt and Toast in the morning, Salad wraps for lunch, and a basic dinner of pasta, or fruit and some peanut butter, or some other simple and tasty meal.

haha what seriously this happens? I never gain weight when I become in charge of my meals usually I lose a stone within the first 10 days (about 14lb) because I just cannot be bothered to eat unless im starving and then im really tight on my food budget because I see eating as a waste of my money, now drinking until im sick thats another matter and worth every penny.

I had the freshman negative 15. I don't know how people gain weight as a freshman. I went from a boring lifestyle in my hometown where I had nothing to do and stocked cabinets to a constantly on-the-go college freshman who never had any food in his room. So I lost a ton of weight my freshman year. And I wasn't fat coming in to college or anything.

Nope. I did not gain any weight, but my lifestyle had almost no change... I commute to campus every day, so it was basically high school with a longer drive...

I know that feel.

I'm beginning to think fairies come in at night and sap away my calories.

Nope. I've been pretty much the exact same weight for at least six years. My mom swears I'm losing weight, but I weigh myself on our industrial scale at work, and I'm still right around 135lbs.
