did you know that when neil armstrong landed on the moon, he said "good luck Mr.Gretzky"(not sure if the name is correct). people later asked him why he said this and it was because when he was younger he kicked his ball into his nieghbours garden (Mr.Gretzky) and he heard coming from the bedroom "ORAL SEX! ill give you oral sex when this kid (points at neil) walks on the moon"
mr. Gorsky - and Did you know that Armstrong was lying about that?

We've allready had this "fact" It's tosh.

Actually that should be 189,819 letters. But it doesn't really count as it's not a proper word. Scientific names have surprisingly little use, when you get to even a few amino acids trivial names take over.

Did you know, that the "daddy-long-legs" spider is actually extrememly venemous?
It's fangs are too small and blunt to pierce human skin.
[small](Not sure how true that is, I heard it years ago)[/small]
It's actually not. Mythbusters did this one, and even let Adam get bitten for it.
Uh... Hate to say it, dude, but this has already been covered.
Sorry to be that guy and all, but you should really read all the way through a thread before replying.
Especially if you plan on quoting someone.
Yeah, noticed there were four pages after I had already sent it. Sorry about that.
Yeah, it's no problem. And sorry for being that dick who just has to point it out.
It's cool. I know being corrected for the 55th time gets kind of annoying.

Did you know that Michael E. Rudnicki is the most prejudiced person on the face of the earth, and is the real-life equivalent of Eric Cartman, only a lot less funny.
Did you know that there's a town in New Jersy called Sparta?

except that my main point isn't that every person does in fact swallow any spiders but that if you should wake while one is in your mouth, don't start freaking....as I know from experience that when one wakes up with a spider in their mouth and freaks out....it may very well bite you and trust me having a spider bite on the roof of your mouth is trash and ruins a good week of your life

DID YOU KNOW? that you can find pictures of Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach and Yoshi in The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina Of Time? Look for it in a window when Zelda is yapping about Ganondorf being the "dark clouds" in her dream.

Prepare to be ENLIGHTENED. Or bored shitless.

Leaving a Goldfish in a dark room for a long amount of time will eventually turn it white.
Wrong.http://www.goldfishconnection.com/articles/details.php?articleId=137&parentId=12: Parasites, Genetics, or bruising. Nothing to do with light.

The word "twit" means a pregnant Goldfish.
Wrong. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/twit
Nothing to do with goldfish there. I've also heard that twat means a pregnant goldfish, laying credence to both being tosh.

Koala bears have no natural predators.
Close, but no cigar. http://home.vicnet.net.au/~koalas/factsgeneral.html They have FEW predators, which mostly bother just the young.
Harrod's in London was the first place to sell toilet paper.
Wrong again. If we go to toilet paper in general, its from 6th century China. Modern toilet paper started in America. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toilet_paper#Modern_toilet_paper

The first time men's and women's toilets were separated was at a public ball in France.
Can't find anything on this. However, the Roman's had public toilets, I see no reason for them not to segregate.

Einstein was offered the presidency of Israel, he declined saying "I have no head for politics"
Oooh so close. He actually said he had: "neither the natural ability nor the experience to deal with human beings."

Please people. CHECK YOUR FACTS. It is not difficult.
Yea I'm done.
Wow, well done. And you sourced it all! Not like the rest of you people! You know, looking at the floor won't make your facts any more true!
Sorry for the double post, but I just found out that Zelda tidbit and had to post it. And then I found this!

Did you know that I know absolutely nothing about the Pomegranate?
They are yummy?

DID YOU KNOW:

That the Alliance soldiers in Firefly use the same body armor as the soldiers from Starship Troopers? Joss Whedon just got the props from that movie for cheaper than getting new props.

Two awesome franchises :D

Did you know that:

- In an early version of Star Wars, Luke Skywalker was called Dirk Starkiller?

- When Google was a university project, it was called Backrub?

- Malaria (Jungle Fever) is the cause of 50% of all deaths since the Stone Age?

- Bill Gates gets over 4 million e-mail every day?

- Superman had a monkey named Beppo as pet?

- Pablo Picassos full name was: Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los Remendios Cipriano de la Santisima Trinidad Ruiz Picasso?

- These facts came from a book?

That 'Berkshire Hunt' is cockney rhyming slang for '****' so when you call someone the fairly innocent-sounding name of a 'berk', you are actually calling them something much worse?

I have to think twice about saying that from now on...
Did you know? that if you press really hard when you write with a pencil a lump will develop on the finger it's pressing against? Accidentally did it to myself....
that a child raised on something we would find purely disgusting would find the disgusting thing easy to eat?
that when you say 'waffling' it actually means pointless talking?
and that;
Pointless I know, but fun!

Oh yeah, the cake is a lie.

Cat penises are ridged the to point of being sharp so that no semen can slip out.
Did you know that this factoid led to a scene in "The Real Barenziah" Elder Scrolls lore book that was used in Daggerfall but got censored in the lore book found in Morrowind and Oblivion?
