I didn't... but I really want to. I loved playing Rayman (can't remember which one) on the PS1, so picking it back up again would make me very happy.

I will, when I am back at home I am sure! Although I did get the original from the DSi store to tide me over!

If it plays like the original I am looking forward to it! Very challenging stuff in places!

Its a 5 hour long side scrolling platformer, no challenge (its a kids game), and they expect you to pay 60 bucks for it. And it was released right before skyrim.
You clearly have no idea about this game.
- It's a hell of a lot longer than 5 hours.
- It's very challenging, no 5 year old could ever dream of completing this game.
- Unfortunately due to bad sales, it's not at all 60 bucks.
- It was released between the 15th and 25th of November in different countries, Skyrim was released on the 11th.

I played it at a friend's house. It was enjoyable, sure, but by no means the best platformer I've ever played.

I finished it a few days ago. For the most part I loved it. The visuals are silly but clear and crisp. The music is pretty good if a little repetitive. The levels are very different and always build up on things you've learned. Some levels are very challenging though. I would say it's the best Rayman game so far if it wasnt because there isn't much of a story. That made me a bit sad. Still, I recommend it if you like plataformers or if you want a challenge.

Not yet but I have played the demo and thought that was great. Unfortunately I just can't justify to myself paying £40 for it.
Amazon, Play, Zavvi and Game have had it for £18 since Dec 26th

I'm waiting until there's a handheld version (Which seeing as it's coming out on Vita and 3DS there will be) since I'm not sure if my brother will play co-op with me or not. I prefer to play games on handhelds if I can...

Yes I have, and I honestly say it is the best looking game I have ever played. The platforming ain't half bad either :)

I have and I think it's really great. Such a shame it sold bad though as I would've loved it to have started off a trend and rebooted the platforming genre.

The amount of people in the thread implying that a 2D game is somehow low quality and not worth the price is slightly discerning.

Simple, I'm not paying full price for a 2D platformer, make it a budget title or XBLA / PSN then it would do a lot better for itself, you think Supermeatboy would do just as well with only a full priced disc version?

I'm not hammering on about the quality of the game, but Ubisoft had clearly not looked at trends when it comes to this genre

I played Rayman when I was a little kid, but I haven't cared about the franchise since then. Checked some trailers when I heard about it since I thought it was going to be a remake of the first game. Was slightly intresting then, though when I found out it wasn't it all went away.
2D platformers and cartooneque art designs just isn't my cup of tea.

I might get it, I thought the Demo was quite fun and I have fond memories of Rayman.

Problem is I tend to find 2D platformers infuriatingly difficult these days.

I bought it for my brother (who is 17) and he loved it, was quite a challenging and fun 2D sidescroller, and it's been so long since i played another rayman that I couldn't tell you if it holds true to the style, but he certainly enjoyed it.
Worth the investment if you havn't got it but are considering it in my opinion.
Strangely, though, my younger cousin who's 11 and was over for christmast didn't find it that great, but considering he kept saying "can we play black ops zombies," take a guess why.

Bought it and loving it so far.

Best 2D platformer of this generation by a mile, imo.

I have it, still wished for a good PC port though. (Thanks Ubisoft)
However, I've got one level done as I'm playing Bastion, NFS: The Run, finishing Riddle Challenges in Batman: Arkham City, and wrapping up a second play-through of Saint's Row 3. Then, I'll jump back into Rayman which I'm greatly anticipating. That is if I don't start the Oddbox that I won from Steam... >.<
