That's the second Idea I've had ninja'd away from me, I've never played Ratchet and Clank.

Try the games they're good and they also have the first draft of Half-Life 2's Gravity Gun, it's called the suck cannon which takes small enimies and boxes then fires them out.

But yeah, RF:G is definitely worth playing if you like original weaponry.

how about a gun that spawns the heavy from TF2 that has the ability to fart cakes that explode on impact.

(sorry i have a tendency to mention cakes when i discuss my ideas of weapons)

Proximity mines that instead of going KABOOM, release bags of starving tasmanian devils on the noob's head. A speargun that shoots piranhas tied to sticks. And, has any game ever used leeches as a weapon....? lol

Homing bees, furballs with teeth, a spider that spun a web around enemies and a kind of trip mine that insulted enemies to lure them in. Armed & Dangerous also had interesting weapons. Also liked the Cerebral Bore from Turok 2.

Here's a spin on the shot gun: primary fire, regular shot. secondary fire, flechete shell.

Also go onto wikipedia and look up shotgun shells, you will get ideas. Like the Bolo shell

A frisbee launcher weapon that shoots frisbees carrying different ammo types that discharge when in the air. Fire them horizontally, vertically or bounce them off surfaces. Could release spikes, acid or explosives.
