Difficult PSP Games

As of two days ago, I am the proud owner of a PSP 3000 (because the Vita has yet to have enough games to make it worthwhile). While I'm excited to play what games I have, I have an issue now.

I like hard games. HARD games. Right now I have Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins, Parappa the Rapper, N+, and What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord? 2. The problem is that there aren't many other games outside of those four that I would identify as difficult. Here's a list of possibilities:

Persona 3
Wild ARMs XF
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
Zettai Heroes Project
Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure
Mega Man Legends 2

If anyone could confirm any of these games as hard or not, or suggest some other ones, that'd be fantastic.

Edit: Just so no one has to waste their time suggesting them, I'm well aware of Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? and Patapon 3. I've heard these games are pretty hard, I just haven't gotten 'em yet.

Persona 3 would be as difficult as its PS2 version. It is the same game with a PSP format and a few extras (including the female protagonist). If you have not played Persona 3 before, the challenge and the fun of it is highly-rated and worth getting.

Trails in the Sky has a hard mode...but you gotta beat the game to unlock it. So that's 60 hours gone before getting really challenged.

ZHP is a fun rogue like game that can get pretty tough.

You should get the Metal Slug Anthology; 7 games for quite a good price. The later games can be ball bustingly hard too. Metal Slug XX can be borderline cheap at times though...some of those bosses are a *****.

The Ys games have a good difficulty to them. Oath in Felghana and Ys7 have the hardest difficulty available from the get go. Great fast paced action RPGs with epic bosses and music.

Killzone Liberation can be a real ball buster too.

I personally enjoyed SOCOM: Tactical Strike on the highest difficulty. It's a real time tactics game similar to Full Spectrum Warrior. You squad will drop like flies if you don't plan your attacks carefully. If you go the messy rout and decide not to stealth at certain points, it can get ugly real fast. But god damn is it satisfying spending several minutes positioning and planning to get that awesome room clear or whatever. Best SOCOM game on the PSP imo.

Those are a few I can think of. Though everyones idea of "hard" is different, so it can be difficult knowing what you think is difficult and what isn't.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is missing from this list of games.
And of course, Dissidia can be quite challenging as well, as can Dissidia 012.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is a really fun game and it and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness are pretty much the only reason my PSP is still here (although horrendous battery-life still gets in the way from me from using it). It starts off fairly easy, then you get you'll pretty much get your arse kicked by the first big monster you see. From then on it's all about identifying attack patterns and predicting enemy movements, getting your arse kicked over and over until you learn how the enemies fight. Then it's smooth-ish sailing! Although it gets downright evil in later stages

Fuck You, Black Gravios!

Might want to give Half-Minute Hero a look:

It's not the hardest ever, but it can be really challenging in certain sections.

Basically, if you've never heard of it, it's an old-school RPG... that you have to beat in 30 seconds. Seriously. It's really, really good and really, really funny.

You'd think that a game with a strict 30-second timer would be unendingly obnoxious, but Half-Minute Hero is really rather enjoyable. Probably one of my favorite RPGs of the last few years.

The 2 Prinny titles are notoriously tough.. but you said you know about them. Hmm.. well there's the port of Dracula X. That has it's rough moments.

Phantasy Star Portable 2?
Late game everything fucking stun locks you to infinity and don't get knocked back EVER. That's not really the good kind of hard though.

I lice this game, and yes it does get hard! Shame it's not on psn anymore so you would have to find a physical copy.

Blazing Souls Accelate and Lord of Arcana are both hard. I also recommend Knights in the Nightmare and Godz Eater Burst but they are more average difficulty.

I actually have Knights in the Knightmare for the DS, though I haven't played it yet. I'm thinking, if it's average difficulty, it'll be a REAL challenge on the harder difficulties (at least, I'm hoping).
