It's really not as hard as it may or may not sound. You just fill out a character sheet, laid forth by the DM, and act in the stead of your character as well as your Digimon. Think along similar lines to how your favorite season of Digimon did it.

Do that, but with your own character/choice of Digimon. It's that simple.

So let's see if I can get this right

Pete and Kunemon

Pete and Kunemon

Name: Pete AKA PJ

Age:19

Height:5'4

Appearance: Caucasian. Short yet quite thin and spindly, a rather odd combination. Has constantly messy brown hair and grey eyes usually seen in a jeans and t-shirt often accompanied by his trademark black and grey hoodie.

Bio: to describe Pete in a word would be carefree. To do it in two would be very carefree. Currently unemployed but is a general jack-of-all trades. He knows that life is full of negativity but is determined to never let it get him down and the only way to get through life is with a grin plastered on your face. Pete is never one for arguments and when one breaks out he feels obligated to play the peacemaker. Always believes the best of others to the point where he could even be considered too trusting.

DIGIMON

Digimon:Kunemon

Digivolves from:Minomon

Type:Virus

Bio: Kunemon was a Digimon who enjoyed a good laugh; unfortunately it was often at the expense of others. Tired of his constant, increasingly mean-spirited, pranks and jokes Kunemon's friends left him one by one. In this self imposed exile Kunemon became increasingly lonely and bitter now lending himself quite well to biting sarcasm. Many believe Kunemon just wants to laugh but what he really wants are friends that will accept him for who he is and will share their laughter with him.

Digivice: D-Tector

Digivice Power: Overcharge: Restores energy to weakened digimon and gives them a temporary boost digivice is inert for 30 minutes afterwords.

I sent this via notes, but I'm putting it here anyway:

Name: Akesha Evans
Age: 21
Height: 5'7
Appearance: African American with black hair in beaded braids, brown eyes, usually likes to wear a maroon t-shirt, khaki shorts, white socks and sneakers, and her silver crucifix necklace.
Bio: Born and raised in New Orleans to a large and loving family, Akesha was taught from a young age never to judge others for any reason, something she took to heart. A kind and caring soul, she enjoys helpinng out at homeless shelters and the like, knowing she's helping people in need. Akesha also has a strong sense of justice, and is very much aware of what people are capable of, leading to a strange dichotomy of her wanting to help people and being annoyed by them at the same time. Currently, she is going to college part time, planning to become a nurse (and already knows a bit about medicines and treating wounds). In her spare time, Akesha has started playing Digital Scape, and is fairly decent at it.

Partner: Falcomon
(Piwamon -> Puwamon -> Falcomon)
Type: Vaccine
Bio: Falcomon is a loner by nature, a quiet 'mon who usually doesn't speak unless he feels he has something to say. When he does talk, Falcomon will speak his mind, but tends to be brutally honest, making him come off as rude. And his tendency to be snarky and sarcastic at times doesn't help this impression. He does have a good heart, someone just needs to get through to it first.

Digivice:
http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Digivice?image=Digivice_Burst_-28Thomas-29_t-png
Digivice Power: Digital Shield- when activated, it creates a glowing energy barrier that protects the user and others for up to 5 minutes, but needs time to recharge afterwards.
(NOTE- If this is unusuable, then instead, the Digivice can heal wounds to a certain degree.)

Its time people! We are to start Digimon: Ascendance!

In the year 2027, our world has been able to resolve it's problems by simple means, many peace makers, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. Nelson Mandela, there goals have been realized, world peace. This is not without saying that there are still crimes in the world, but the art of war has been stopped. Thanks to this, People have been able to put more time towards science and technology, this includes Video games.

Digital Scape was one of the first sites of this new world to to come about, connected to major game companies and franchises to give away free items and access to betas for upcoming games. Many users on the site have been participating in a tournament as of late, to test there gaming know how about different type of games, from farming simulators to the most hardcore FPS war sims. No one knew what the prize was or when it would be over, so people continued to play for the chance to win this mystery prize.

-----------------------------------------

"Im home!" A young man walked into a massive house, hanging his jacket on the nearby coat hook as a older gentleman walked up to him.

"Hello master Shepard." The man said, giving a gesture of respect to the 21 year old man. Brad sighed as he ran his hand through his hair in frustration.

"Leon, i told you, You dont have to call me master, I have been telling you this for the past seven years." He said, the man he was facing chuckling to himself as Brad started to laugh himself.

"How was you're day Brad?" He asked as he went to the kitchen to grab Brad a snack.

"It was ok, Nothing really to do to be hoenst... I need to find something to do with my life, This place is nice and all, but i cant keep sapping off of my parents for my whole life." He said as he sat down, Leon bringing him a sandwich.

"Brad, i have known you since you where a baby, You have grown into a fine young man, you will find what you want to do before too long, something you and your parents will be proud of." The older man smiled as Brad finished off his snack.

"Thanks Leon, Ill be in my room if anyone needs me ok?"

As Brad went into his room, he turned on his computer as he looked at room, many posters of Anime and Video Games where plastered around the walls, showing his hobby full well. There where many swords on teh wall too, he had been trained in the art of swordsmanship. His father had wanted him to learn some form of self defense, so he picked the art of the sword, forcing his mind and body into the blade, he felt he could just let the problems of his world go.

Clicking on the Firefox logo as his computer finished booting up, His eyes darted two the inbox, one new message had been sent to him, but for what? Was it the contest that was going on?

Checking the message, it was worded rather weird.

"There is a world in need of your help, There are only a few people that can save this world from ruin and chaos, will you be the light that shines on this world to help save it form the encroaching darkness?"

[YES]

[NO]

"Oh, this has to be apart of a new beta, I don't think I've heard of this game before. Heck, might as well right?"

http://www.soundsnap.com/node/103708

At the moment he clicked yes, a portal shot out of his screen, sucking the unsuspecting young man into it's grasp.

Where would he go? What was about to happen? Those where the only thoughts that went though his mind as he drifted though the void.

A young man walks into his apartment currently wearing a pair of paint splattered overalls.

"Hey Poppy i'm back!"

"mreow" was the only reply of the small black cat that began circling his legs.

"Miss me girl?" the man asked. "That painting job was pretty tough but the pay was worth it."

After a quick shower the man sheds his overalls switching them for a bright yellow t-shirt, jeans and a hoodie.

"alright time to boot up the pc and check the job listings I guess."

As the computer booted up the words 'WELCOME PETE' flashed up on the screen.

Pete sighed. As much as he enjoyed the jobs he did he couldn't help but sometimes wonder whether he should look for something on a more permanent basis. After all he was living on his own now and needed a stable income to pay his bills.

The 19 year old sighed. " oh well, I suppose at least I have money, thats more than others could say."

"mreow" the cat said jumping up on his lap, purring away.

"and I suppose i've got you too Pops" Pete chuckled.

Firing up his browser Pete noted a new message in his inbox.

"well it looks like the agency's written back already"

his face however bore a look of confusion as he opened the message

" There is a world in need of your help, There are only a few people that can save this world from ruin and chaos, will you be the light that shines on this world to help save it from the encroaching darkness?"

[YES]

[NO]

"hmmm, not exactly going to put food on the table, but it wouldnt hurt to check it out"

he scrolled his mouse down and clicked on the yes button.

In that instant he felt himself drawn forward as the computer screen swirled. the cat hissed and darted under the chair he was sat on. Soon there was no trace of Pete other than the chair he'd left behind and a very startled cat.

"BENJAMIN! PAY ATTENTION!"

Ben closed his eyes for a moment and then slowly turned away from the window back to the classroom. Opening them once more, he met the gaze of the teacher, a middle aged, fairly normal woman standing up at the front, half hidden behind the rows and rows of students and computers.

"Well, thank you for finally joining us again" she said, her tone sounding quite annoyed. But no one blamed her. Everyone knew Ben. Anti-social, rude, unfriendly, but smart. While most of the other students spent weeks studying for the SATs, Ben walked in without anything, had to borrow a pencil, and then walked out after 40 minutes. A few months later and the principal announced how proud he was that they had a student that achieved scored in the 99th percentile of the national average.

"Considering you're failing this class, I would have thought you'd be more interested in paying attention to the lesson at hand. You might have gotten the best scores on the SATs in this schools history, but if you don't graduate it's not going to matter. And right now the odds of you graduating are looking rather slim." she warned him. Ben did his best to feign interest, and it seemed to have worked.

"Yes yes, I know. Look, I'm keeping up just fine, I'll turn it in at the end of class." he said, even though his heart wasn't in it. This was so...easy. Boring. This was a genuine waste of time. No, it wasn't going to be done by the end of class, or ever. It's not like it mattered. While he kept his eyes up front, she soon moved back to her computer and proceeded to continue the lesson on the projector, something about C+ and the use of "And/Or" statements in programming. Times like this he didn't know why he even bothered to sign up for Basic Computer Programming.

Oh, that's why, he thought to himself as he moved the mouse down to the Internet Explorer icon. He did his best to keep his face forward and his eyes on his own screen, at least to make it appear like he was paying attention. The browser window came up, bringing up the schools tacky website complete with their garish colors and bad photos from around the campus. This is why you shouldn't let students make a website he lamented as he clicked on the address bar and, barring any other ideas, typed in "google.com".

The screen went white as the homepage was dumped and the new page was retrieved and his attention briefly went up to the front of the room. She was still droning on about linking "If/Them" and "And/Or" statements and he let out a yawn before his attention drifted back down. He lowered his head a bit though when he saw that the webpage he wanted never came up. Instead, there was just a window.

" There is a world in need of your help, There are only a few people that can save this world from ruin and chaos, will you be the light that shines on this world to help save it from the encroaching darkness?"

[YES]

[NO]
What is this? A pop-up? All this technology and we still have to deal with this? he thought with exasperation and moved his cursor to click on the corner X. The window disappeared but only for a moment before popping back up, though to his suprise, a little bit different.

" There is a world in need of your help, There are only a few people that can save this world from ruin and chaos, will you be the light that shines on this world to help save it from the encroaching darkness?"

[YES]

[YES]
Ben stared at the screen and blinked. Okay, that's clever. Cheesey, but clever he said, and clicked the close button again. The message popped up once more, with two Yes options once more, and a twinge of interest sparked inside of him. He sat up a bit in his chair and cracked his knuckles before leaning forward over the keyboard.

"Alright then, if that's how you want to play, try this." he said as he pressed ctrl+alt+del. The screen went black for a moment and then brought up a list of options. He went down to the task manager and brought up the program, sifting through the list of processes to the browser. Without hesitation, he ended it and the browser window went away, leaving him with a sense of satisfaction. That was short lived though, as the window soon popped back up on the blank desktop.

"Oh...is that so? Well, looks like you're not a pop-up. You're a virus. Schools not going to be happy about this, but lets see what I can do..." he said, speaking softly so he didn't attract any attention. First, he sifted through the list of processes to find the virus protocol. It wasn't likely, since any decent virus writer would make it hidden, and sure enough it wasn't there. THink think...right, the school doesn't allow changes to computer software like the registry, so if I reboot, virus goes away. Simple! he thought, and moved the cursor down to the start button. Shutdown and...restart.

"Ben, what are you doing now?" came a voice from across the classroom. Everyone else turned to look at him as the teacher addressed him again. Ben looked back up to her and gave a shrug.

"Computer locked up, nothing I can do. So I'm rebooting it, that should fix it." he told her. It seemed to work.

"Did you get anything saved before it locked up?" she asked. Ben nodded, even though it was a lie.

"Of course, but it's backdated pretty far. I'll catch up though." he told her, and with that she moved back on with the lesson. Ben's computer beeped as it began to boot up again, running the black screen with white text. However, he came to a familiar screen that usually indicated a problem.

Windows was not shut down successfully. If this was due to the system not responding, or if the system was shut down to protect data, you might be able to recover one of the safe mode configurations from the menu below:
(Use the arrow keys to highlight your choice)

Safe Mode

Safe Mode with Networking

Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Go to the Digital World (12 seconds)
Wait, what? he thought as he stared at the screen, What the hell is a digital world...forget it, not happening. He moved the highlighted box down to Safe Mode with Networking and hit the enter key, forcing the computer to load up the long list of modules to run Windows, and soon enough the desktop came back up, a black background with "Safe Mode" in all four corners. It was progress at least. Sitting back in his chair for a moment he contemplated just what was going on here. Whatever had gotten into this computer was no normal virus, and that much became apparent next.

As he sat there and stared at the screen, a window popped up again. But it wasn't a pop-up window, there was no Close button. It was a message window with only one line of text in it.

You're coming whether you like it or not.
His surprise at that message was only compounded when the screen turned completely white and bright as a spotlight. The classroom went silent as everyone turned their attention back to him again and the teacher stood up. Ben saw none of it though, blinded by the light as the screen suddenly seemed to gain a third dimension: Depth, as if someone removed the glass and turned it into a tunnel. A feeling of light, almost weightlessness, came over him and he hooked his leg in his backpack to help anchor himself down. He could hear the commotion around him but it seemed to be fading away and soon disappeared completely. The light faded, both for him and for the classroom. Once it had, the computer screen went dark, and the chair sat empty.

Ben was gone.

I'm so booooored Thought Richard as he dully closed a website he'd visited 3 times in the past hour alone. He knew nothing new would be there, of course. He was just looking for something, anything to do.

Peeking away from his computer screen, Richard gave a quick glance around the small room he shared with his roommate, who was out at the moment.

Room is cleaned, nothing pressing work wise. What am I going to do till bed, sit here? He thought, cursing his bored state.

As he was glancing about, considering unfolding and refolding all his clothes, Richard noticed out of the corner of his eye that his computer brought up a window all on its own Maybe this pop up will be silly. he thought, turning back to read it

"There is a world in need of your help, There are only a few people that can save this world from ruin and chaos, will you be the light that shines on this world to help save it form the encroaching darkness?"

[YES]

[NO]

He read it over a few times, confused by the lack of a product that it was selling. Feeling adventurous, Richard decided to see where the pop up went and moved his cursor over the "Yes" option.

Worst comes to worst, I'm sure I'll be able to fix it. He mused, even thinking it might even give him something to do.

Naturally, this thought occurred right before his computer swallowed him up like a shark eating a small fish.

Jay sat down on his bed and rubbed his eyes. He could draw nothing today. He wasn't in the mood. Anything he would draw wouldn't fit with what he needed to draw. He was feeling as if his life right now was in a rut, and the pacing up and down this rut wearing him out both physically and mentally.

Jay sighed as he decided to load up his computer again, his go-to whenever he couldn't do work. Play mindless games, talk to people online he has never, and probably will never meet and other procrastination methods. The screen glowed on his pale face, revealing all that had changed since he had last checked. His newsfeeds said nothing of interest. The only real thing of note was a few fresh E-mails.

The first from someone requesting a commission. A character from a known franchise dressed in "one of those two piece suits belly dancers wear in movies". Jay sighed and moved it to the "desperate" folder. People requested things all the time on the net from him, and the majority were like this. Jay didn't want to build a reputation for drawing this sort of thing, so he sent them an E-mail saying "maybe later" and would possibly hit them up if things got desperate. Two other e-mails were badly disguised scams, some lady saying she stumbled on a great deal on wine and another saying it needed help building an orphanage, though it didn't say where or why.

"There is a world in need of your help, There are only a few people that can save this world from ruin and chaos, will you be the light that shines on this world to help save it form the encroaching darkness?"

[YES]

[NO]

Digital Scape. Had to be another developer wanting their game tested in beta and wanted me to join in. It was suprisingly "in-character" throughout which gave Jay a funny feeling, but that didn't matter. All that mattered was getting a new excuse to slack off.

In a flash, Jay was devoured by an almighty portal sprouting forth from his computer. Slacking off was the last thing he'd do.

Sunlight cascaded through the slightly parted curtains adjacent to the bed. Slowly raising herself upright from the comfort of her dreams and removing her hand from her alarm clock, Ophelia groggily squinted out the window, yawning as she did so. It was Saturday, which was good because Ophelia didn't really feel like doing much today. Both of her parents were gone for the weekend and they had left her plenty of food to survive. Smiling as she saw a few younger children already playing amongst others in the cul-de-sac she lived in, Ophelia let the curtains swing lazily closed, the sunlight peeking in and out until they remained motionless. Suddenly feeling energized at the prospect of doing nothing of note for the entire day, Ophelia grabbed the small remote that lay on the small dresser nearby, pointed it across the room, and hit PLAY as she leaped out of bed with previously unseen gusto.

"Good morning, Saturday!!!"

As the music filled the house, Ophelia went about getting ready for her day. Quickly showering, getting dressed, doing her hair, and grabbing a small bowl of cereal from the kitchen as she bobbed to and fro from room to room. Were anybody to be seeing her dance her way back and forth throughout the house after waking up mere moments ago, one would have a very odd opinion already formed. However, Ophelia couldn't give less of a damn what those hypothetical individuals thought. Digital Scape awaited her, and she was eager to jump right back into catching up with any scores that may have dared come close to her own. Pulling open her bright pink laptop and booting it up, Ophelia noisily munched away at her breakfast as she waited for the contraption to finish. The music continued to play.

The screen of her computer illuminating to life after a brief period, Ophelia nonchalantly proceeded to click her various shortcuts to Digital Scape posthaste. Using one hand, holding her half-finished cereal bowl in the other, she happened to notice the "new email" icon bouncing its way up and down annoyingly in the lower-right corner of the desktop. Deciding to take care of that first, Ophelia noticed she had one and only one new email, when normally she expected to have dozens every day.

"There is a world in need of your help, There are only a few people that can save this world from ruin and chaos, will you be the light that shines on this world to help save it form the encroaching darkness?"

[YES]

[NO]

"Another Digital Scape game opportunity perhaps? Maybe this is some kind of closed beta or something. Whatever it is, count me in!"

With a satisfying *click* to the YES option, Ophelia had little time to react as her computer screen quite literally swallowed her as quickly as she had her breakfast. The screen almost liquifying and enveloped her entire body like a caccoon, Ophelia didn't even have time to scream as she was sucked inside in a flash. Within mere milliseconds, she was gone, her bowl of half-eaten cereal clattering to the floor as well as her spoon, spinning within before coming to a stop.

CHERRY BOMB!

"It looks like the Destined have answered the call my Lord." A overpowering voice rang out in a dark room. No one else was in the room however, yet it was as if it was talking to someone of great importance. The being looked up into the single shining light in the room, as if it was the one the being was talking too.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The portal opened up in the air, high enough to see for miles, way higher then a normal human should be in the air without the support of 50 feet of concert under them anyway. As Brad fell though, miles upon miles of forests with strange codes and symbols flying through the air. The sight was just awe inspiring beauty... Until Brad realized he was falling though the air with no means of a safe landing.

"NO NO NO NO NO FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" Brad screamed as he fell though the air, was this really how he was going to die? Great way to end 21 years of life, he thought. He closed his eyes as he got closer and closer to the ground, not wanting tos ee what was going to kill him.

He was... safe? How? What? What was going on?

Brad opened his eyes to see a lush green area full of eggs and what looked like baby building blocks stacked to the sky like buildings. It was like he jumped into a story book. As he stood up, he jumped up and down for a second, even the ground felt like a giant playing mat like they use to use in gym when he was a kid. This magical place was so strange... Was he dreaming? He had to be, there was no way this was real.

"Are you... Human?" A tiny voice said from behind Brad, as he turned around, then looking down.

"Um... Yea, Im a human... The heck are you?" Brad asked to get closer to the small puppy like creature. The tiny creature was a deep shade of purple, Royal purple was the shade, he thought, with a white patch around it's mouth and piercing yellow eyes. The thing was in awe, it's jaw wide open as if seeing one of the wonders of the world.

"Please, Human, tell me your name." he said as he sniffed his foot.

"Uhm... Im Brad, Brad Shepard." he said, not believing he was talking to a figment of his imagination.

"BRAD! Its You!" The creature yelled, jumping into his arms.

As the soft fur of the little creature touched Brad's hands, he could feel the warmth of his small body, the realization came running into his mind, this was not a dream.

"I...This is real?" Brad asked, pulling the little creature out and looking him in the face.

"Yep! This is as real as real gets! Welcome to the Digital World Brad!" He said, jumping form his hands onto his shoulder. Still rubbing his face on Brad's face, it was clear that even thought they just meet, this little thing cared very much so for Brad.

"You seem to know my name, little guy, How, i dont know how, but you know it, but whats yours?" Brad asked, trying to stay calm in this very very strange world.

"Well, I'm a Dorimon, but Everyone around here calls me Zero, so I guess thats what you can call me too Brad." He smiled at his new friend.

"Zero huh? I like it, ok Zero, so whos in charge around here?" He asked, looking at some code flying by, with some weird pink birds flying behind that.

"Oh, that would be Calumon, He should be around here somewhere, but knowing him, he will find us before we find him, thats just the type of Digimon he is." Zero answered. "he should have something for us too."

"Oh really now? Wait, did you know I was coming?" Brad asked the little guy on his shoulder.

"I have been waiting my whole life for you to come Brad, I have always been waiting for my partner to show up, and I know that is you."

"This is all a little overwhelming, to be honest with you Zero." He said, scratching the back of his head.

"I cant say I blame you, I would act the same if I came to your world. But we can talk about this later, with Calumon, lets go look for him!" Zero said, jumping up and down on Brad's head as he relocated to his partners hair.

Smiling, Brad started walking, being careful not to step on any eggs. He could not help but wonder though, where there any other humans in this world?

Peter stirred. As he opened his eyes and looked around he noticed he was on soft plush grass. Around him were eggs of multiple shades and colours scattered as far as the eye could see. Pete made a mental note of the next thing that made itself apparent, he was starving. He had no idea no idea how long he had been laying in the grass but it was long enough to work up an appetite.

Pete scanned the area for anything that might have been edible 'though if it comes down to it I could always make an omelette,' He thought. Returning to his search Pete noticed a cluster of trees nearby each with a series of round fruits on them. Pete had no idea whether these were edible, but his protesting stomach wasn't giving him much choice in the matter. He walked up to the nearest tree and tried to reach the lowest branch. No matter how hard he tried to grab the fruit it remained just out of reach. It was almost as if the tree was taunting him.

"Need help there shorty?" asked an unfamiliar voice.

Pete started. He immediately began searching for the owner of the voice, that is until several of the fruits in the tree dropped as the branches began to shake.

"There you go, enjoy!" the voice spoke again.

"Alright, who's there? Show yourself!"

"Y'know, for someone who's just been fed, you don't sound too grateful" the source of the voice made itself apparent as something descended from the branches of the tree.

The easiest approximation Pete could make was that it was some kind of pinecone. It had a hard, brown and spiky lower body, but that was where the similarity ended. At the top of this brown body was a pair of short green arms and a rounded green head with two long antennae and beady black eyes. The whatever-it-was was attached to the branch with a long thread growing from the top of its head. It frowned at Pete with its pink, almost beak like, mouth.

"So Pete, aren't you gonna say thank you?" the creature asked.

"What are you? And more importantly how do you know who I am?"

"Easy," the creature replied. " My names Minomon, I'm a Digital monster, or Digimon for short."

Minomon stated this so matter- of- factly that it almost sounded as if this was a planned routine.

"As for the last question," Minomon continued," I've been waiting for you for a while now Pete!"

"You've been waiting for me?"

"Yeah, I've waiting for you. You're my partner Pete and I'm so glad to meet you," Minomon's frown changed into a bright smile "even if you do have no manners, you still haven't thanked me."

"Oh right, sorry Minomon, thanks for the fruit" Pete said then proceeding to take a large bite out of the fruit. It was cold, juicy and rather refreshing quieting his growling stomach. "So, now that you've found me, what now?"

"Well I should probably take you to see Calumon, he's the mon in charge around here, he should have something for you."

Minomon detached himself from the branch and dropped onto Pete's head. Minomon's exterior was as hard and spiky as it looked. The Digimon's weight and warmth removed any possibility in Pete's mind that this could have been a dream. This was definitely real

"Oh, before I forget, welcome to the Digital world!" Minomon stated from his Perch atop the young man's head.

"Ha, thanks Minomon," Pete laughed. "now! Let's go find Calumon!"

Pete strolled across the green field with Minomon's tiny arms hanging onto his hair. He couldn't help but wonder whether or not he would ever see another human again. However ,right now, it really didn't matter. After all in this new and strange world he had at least one friend who would always watch his back.

The portal opened up about 5 feet above the ground in a small clearing in a forest, unsurprisingly surrounded by many trees and bushes.

Richard couldn't even manage to think before gravity forced his body into the ground, disorienting any thoughts that might have formed. When he recollected himself enough to sit up, he bleary looked around, trying to work out what just happened.

How did-What-I don't-GAAAAAH! He thought, desperately trying to figure out how any of this happened, despite how mad that would drive him.

Jumping violently, Richard spun towards that sound, various scenes of slasher movies flashing in his head. " W-Who's there" He said, scuttling as far and as fast from the noise as someone sitting on the ground can.

Just to complete the picture of ridiculousness, the ball-with-a-spike gave Richard a look of annoyance and said "No, I definitely don't need this." And off it hopped, across the clearing to disappear right back into the forest.

Dumbfounded, Richard just watched it go by, surprised that the first life he saw looked like...that.

Well...Not like I have much choice. That...thing must know something about wherever here is. Richard thought, standing up and trying to follow the sound of the ball-with-a-spike traveling through the forest.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As running was much faster then what the bouncing the ball-with-a-spike was capable of, Richard quickly caught sight of it.

"Hey! Can you hear me?! Where am I?" he shouted, in between breaths.

Startled, the ball-with-a-spike nearly smashed it's face into the ground. " I told you, I ain't interested! Get lost! Maybe the next mon will be interested in this partnership stuff." He said, that same look of annoyance as before plastered on his face.

"At least tell me where I am. Please?"

Sighing, the ball-with-a-spike said, almost too quickly to hear "A forest in the Digital World. Now get lost." And off it bounced, towards what looked like might lead to the edge of the forest.

Digital World? What? Richard thought, more questions coming to his mind. With no other destination, He did the one thing that he could. He followed the ball-with-a-spike.

Not much more then 2 feet away from Richard, the Ball-with-a-spike sat, muttering to himself.

"...To be here. Stupid forest getting me lost. Just hope Richard ain't annoying enough to follow-"

"How do you know my name?" Richard blurted out, not able to remember if he'd ever told the ball-with-a-spike his name.

"GAH! Quick back to the forest! Before-

"Look! Look! I think that's a human! and that Tsunomon must be his partner!" Said a nearby voice in a tree. Looking up, Richard saw what looked to be several dozen...Plantimals was the best word to describe them.

Jumping down, they all gathered in a ring around the two of them, chattering excitedly. " Why are they here? What do they want? You think they might be here to see Calumon? Oh of course, why else would they be here? Let's take them to him, maybe we'll get a treat for it!"

Grimacing in defeat, Tsunomon glanced at Richard and said "Well...this is just great. I'm stuck with you till who knows when."

"Well, in that case, mind answering a few questions..."

I can do this...

Commandramon huffed, almost out of breath as he pressed himself back against a wall. The rain fell over the cityscape, not in torrents, but a good solid rain that hadn't let up yet. Behind him, scores of digimon littered the streets. Ogermon, Devimon, Monocromon with a horn sharpened to a blade to be used as a war animal. All of them had been put down now. However, that just left the final run. This was it.

He turned his eyes down at his rifle and rolled it over a bit, checking the magazine. About half empty, better reload, he thought to himself. Lifting the gun a bit his claw caught the trigger to release it, the metal box sliding out of the weapon. As it fell, it dissolved into data and was reabsorbed by him as he reached into his vest and pulled out another magazine, slapping it inside and cambering the next round. Closing his eyes, he focused himself and then leaned over a bit, peeking around the corner to what was in store.

Up the street, there were more of them. IceDevimon, Infermon, and Megadramon were standing watch outside the courtyard where the big boss was. All ultimate level virus types. Commandramon's lips curled into a grin. No problem.

Reaching down, he pulled a canister out of his vest and hooked his claw in the ring. One...two...THREE! he counted in his head and then rolled around the corner. As he did he pulled the pin and threw the grenade. He bounced and tumbled across the ground as Commandramon charged forward and all the other digimon turned to face him, alerted to his presence.

"It's Commandramon!" the Infermon was first to speak up.

"How did he get this far!? This is impossible!" IceDevimon said.

"We have to run away! He's too strong for us!" shouted the Megadramon. All three of them panicked and began to run, straight into each other before bouncing off and falling down. As they recovered, the grenade went off with a brilliant flash that made all three of them recoil as Commandramon looked away. After that moment though, he charged between them and raised his rifle.

The first shot rang out and caught IceDevimon in the chest. The white devimon was thrown backwards as he let out a howl and began to disintergrate into bits of data while Commandramon threw his M16 out to the other side, one handed, aiming and firing at Infermon. Another shot took him in the body and the spider digimon was dissolving before he hit the ground. Ahead of him was the Megadramon, both metal claws held apart and leaving it vulnerable. Commandramon ran, straight up the belly of the serpents body to its head. He jumped and did a bicycle kick, throwing the serpent up into the air as he fell back down to the ground. He landed on one knee and leaned back, lifting his rifle and taking aim before firing one more shot and destroying the digimon in midair.

"Ultimate level, huh? I guess I'M the ultimate now. Now, the big boss." he said, rising to his feet again and charging forward. Ahead were two wooden double doors for the building. They didn't even slow him down. Using a heel kick, he burst through them and held his rifle at the ready, sweeping the room for any targets before moving on. Down one hallway, through a door, down another hallway that came to another double door on the side. He pressed himself against the wall and prepared himself. This is it.

Spinning around the doorframe he kicked the doors open and walked into the large room, turning his eyes up to the white digimon inside. Massive, with a smooth shell and two cannons over his shoulders. There was no doubt about it. This was the big boss. He held his rifle trained at the backside of the other digimon and approached slowly, cautiously.

"MaloMyotismon! I've come to bring your reign of terror to an end!" Commandramon shouted as he held his weapon there. However, the white digimon didn't move, clearly occupied with what he was doing. Halting his approach and standing his ground, COmmandramon waited for a moment and then spoke again.

"I said MaloMyotismon! I've come to bring your reign of terror to an end!" he shouted again, a little louder this time, but it didn't seem to work. Just then though, the hulking white mass turned a little bit, just enough to train an eye on the dramon with the gun.

"I told you I didn't want to play before." said the hulking voice, making Commandramon lower his weapon and sigh.

"Puroromon! You promised that you'd play with me if I did all that digging for you!" Missimon complained as he dropped the stick he'd been holding like a rifle. Floating a bit over the ground, the arrow shaped digimon looked more than a little disappointed at the response he'd gotten from his partner.

"Why though? Every time we play, you get to be the good guy, I get to be the bad guy, you get to save the day, and I get to play dead. How is that fun?" asked the bee digimon, though it sounded somewhat half-hearted as he rested on the ground, playing with some black cables that were sticking up out of the ground.

"Well, maybe if you tried a bit harder you wouldn't end up dead! The bad guys are supposed to fight back and you're supposed to be the biggest, baddest digimon of them all!" Missimon told him, though puroromon didn't seem phased.

"The last time I tried to fight back you got all mad because you said I cheated." he said as he pulled a few more wires apart, looking between them to see where they went. Missimon looked clearly flustered.

"That's because you DID cheat! You can't just claim you're bulletproof by making yourself Metal-anydigimon!" Missimon complained, though if anything his complaints amused the bee.

"Well, I'm not a metal-anything-mon this time, do you still want me to fight back?" he asked, fluttering his wings a bit. COmmandramon stood his ground.

"YES! That's the whole point to playing! We have to try and beat each other!" he explained, sounding exasperated and frustrated, but at least he was making progress.

"Oh fine them. 'COmmandramon, you found my secret lair, but little did you know I WANTED you to find it! You've walked right into my trap!'" Puroromon told him, taking on his character again. Missimon smiled and grabbed the stick again, holding it like a rifle and pointing it at Puroromon.

"I know that it was a trap, and I know that you wanted me here, but you underestimated me! You'll never win, MaloMyotismon!" Missimon shouted as he mimiced chambering a round in his rifle. Puroromon looked thoroughly disinterested though.

"Well then, lets see how you fare against this!" he said, pulling on one of the black cables that was laying on top of the grass. The cable came taught and tugged on a table, making it rock. A digiegg on the table began to roll down the middle of it and then off the edge, landing on a see-saw and tossing a pillow up into a tree. The pillow hit a birds nest and made the birds inside fly through the tree, one of them knocking off a hook that was holding a limb. The limb swung out and tossed a blanket that floated down and landed like a net over Missimon.

Missimon, however, just stood there and watched as one thing followed another, the table to the tree and the blanket. he dropped the stick though and held his little hands up as the blanket came over him, catching it and managing to shrug it off to the side, turning his eyes back to Puroromon who still had his back to him.

"Is that the best you can do, MaloMyotismon? You clearly underestimated me!" He boasted, though puroromon didn't seem moved, only motioning with his rump to the side using his stinger to point.

"It's not done yet." he said simply making Missimon turn around to look. Something had catapulted another digiegg through the air, though this one had a string tied to it for some reason. Missimon followed the string down, down, down to the cradle that he'd hidden behind before coming around to ambush the bad guy. As the egg flew, it pulled the string, and pulled the cradle over onto Missimon upside down, trapping him underneath.

"Hey! No fair!" he shouted, the craddle bouncing and rocking around as Missimon bounced around the inside of it, trying hopelessly to get out. puroromon only grinned to himself.

"You told me to fight back. It's never fair when you're losing, is it?" Puroromon said with an aire of satisfaction, going back to playing with the cables in the ground while Missimon bounced around his impromptu cage. However, as happy as he was with the moment, he was short lived. Behind him about 10 meters back something caught his eye, a brilliant flash of light and a heavy thud on the grass with the sound of a voice. Getting up, he turned around to see what it was and looked shocked to see a human there.

For Ben, it had been pretty instantaneous. One moment he was sitting in class, then there was a brilliant flash and the next he was being dropped on to the ground, his backpack hitting the ground a moment later. Dazed and disoriented, he held his head and stayed on the ground as he tried to get his bearings, blinking his eyes a couple times as the world began to come back into focus.

"Um...okay, I don't know what that was. Like, not even an idea..." he said to himself as he took in his surroundings. Green grass, blue sky, it was fairly warm, but he didn't see -anything- he recognized. He moved to get up but his backpack held him down, forcing him to untangle his leg from it before he could do anything. It was done soon enough though and he stood up, stretching a bit and turning around.

Of course, he turned face to face with a giant bee.

"What the hell!?" Ben shouted and took a step backwards, his foot catching on his backpack and tripping him again. he fell back on the ground and threw his arms up in the air, swinging them back and forth to ward off the insect.

"Shoo! Get out of here!" he shouted as Puroromon advanced a little further, but kept out of range of the flailing arms.

"'Get out of here'? Well, that's nice. You know, I think I was here first, maybe you should go instead. After all, it's not like I go to your world and try to kick you out." Puroromon said with a slight 'hmph' at the end. Ben stopped flailing his arms in front of him and stared up at the giant bee as it hovered in the air.

"You talked...wow, I've never had dreams like this before." Ben said, lowering his arms back down and trying to get himself to his feet. While he was doing that Puroromon looked on, and did not look impressed.

"I talked. Of COURSE I talked. You talk. Everyone else talks. Why would I be any different? Honestly, for a human, I was expecting something...more." he said a little disappointed.

"Right...well, as long as you don't sting me I suppose that's alright. Where am I anyway? How did I get here? What i-" Ben asked, though he was cut off by the bee digimon.

"Look, I get the whole 'Stranger in a strange land' thing, so let me just try and make this concise. I'm Puroromon, my friend back under the cradle is Missimon, we're digimon, you're a human, this is the digital world and I have absolutely no idea but here you are anyway. Does that sum it up well enough?" Puroromon asked after going off on a rant, however Ben actually looked impressed.

"Well, yeah actually. Why can't anyone else ever answer questions like that?" he wondered allowed, and then both he and Puroromon gave a shrug.

"Beats me, I wonder about that all the time."

Ben's attention was drawn over the the cradle that he mentioned, still upside down and rocking from side to side as Missimon tried to force his way out, though it wasn't working.

"Come on! Let me out already!" he called out, though Puroromon was still looking too pleased to do anything about it.

"Come come, how are you going to save the digital world from my unspeakably evil wrath if you can't even get out of a simple trap?" he said, mocking his partner inside. Ben, however, walked over and took one of the legs of the cradle, pulling it back over right side up. Once he did, the arrow shaped digimon zoomed out and into the air before looking back down at Puroromon...and Ben.

"Ah-ha! I'm free, and now I will...who is that? What is that?" he said, stopping short and coming back down in front of Ben who leaned back considerably as the metal digimon came face to face with him. Puroromon spoke up first though.

"It's a human, from another world. No, I don't know how it got here." he explained, getting a nod from Missimon who then turned his attention back to Ben.

"Okay, good enough for me. Two questions though: What's your name, and do you play?" Missimon asked, sounding rather excited again despite his setbacks the last time he played. Ben was a bit taken aback by that, but he answered.

"Well, my name is Ben, and yeah, I play all kinds of things." he answered, but that only made Missimon back off and then do a spiral up into the air.

"Alright! We are gonna be BEST FRIENDS!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. Ben simply stared up at him unsure what to think or say while Puroromon laid his face in one of his pointed hands.

Ophelia felt strange. The last thing she could remember was sitting in front of her laptop and responding to that bizarre email. Now, she was seemingly falling through nothingness, her body petrified by unknown forces as her molecules reformatted themselves. She could not move, breathe, or even speak. The most she was able to do was move her eyes around, trying to make sense of what she was seeing right now. Other than the black nothingness that made up the majority of this strange intermediate area she found herself in, random segments of what appeared to be code flew upwards past her at high speeds. She didn't even have time to read them as they raced by, because before she knew it, Ophelia was quickly approaching a bright source of light, a sliver of white amongst the blackness.

Passing through it harmlessly, Ophelia clenched her eyes shut at the sudden brightness.

The rift opening up just a few feet off the ground, Ophelia spilled outward, hitting it and bouncing slightly without injury. Now able to move and speak but daring not to due to fear, Ophelia kept her eyes tightly closed as she doubled over herself in a fetal position, the rift silently closing above her. When nothing seemed to happen for a fair number of moments, Ophelia relaxed just a bit and collected her bearings. Opening her eyes and raising her head as she attempted to push herself off the slightly spongey ground, she couldn't believe what her eyes were seeing.

The entire landscape before her was nothing but a multicolored, patchwork playground, with what looked like very large ostrich eggs all painted-up for Easter absolutely everywhere. Off in the distance, there appeared to be some buildings made of well...building blocks, except larger than life and capable of forming structures of that size. It almost reminded her of something akin to an old board game she used to play when she was small: Candy Land. Pushing herself up onto her knees, she placed a hand atop her eyes to get a better view of what she may or may not be imagining. All of this hardly seemed real.

"...this is what that email was talking about? Digital Scape needs to work on their age-filtering system. I'm way too old for a game like this. Still, it's pretty cool from a gameplay standpoint: actually absorbing the player into the game? How fun!"

Just as she raised her voice with a big smile on her face, clearly thinking this was some sort of new game Digital Scape was trying to shoehorn into her subscription, there was a shuffling of soil just at her feet. Becoming aware of it and taking a tentative step backward, Ophelia witnessed the unearthing of some kind of creature. It rose quickly out of the bouncy mat that was the "ground," and merely stared at Ophelia. The young woman said nothing as well.

It resembled a clawed hand of some sort, pale blue in color with the most noticeable feature of it being the large red eyeball that adorned its facade. Two antennae-like appendages sprouted out of the top of its "head." Definitely not something that looked to belong in a bright, colorful world such as this. To any other person, the creature would have been downright terrifying and met with either screaming and/or running away. There was a good ten seconds that passed as Ophelia and the hand-spider-thing just stared at each other. Not soon after however, Ophelia let out a squeal of delight and quickly scooped the small creature up in her hands. It was no bigger than an average-sized puppy dog.

"Well aren't you just the cutest thing I have ever seen! Hi little guy, I'm Ophelia! I'm kind of new around here, do you think you could show me just where it is I need to go or why I am here? Can you do that for me, huh?"

The creature said nothing, nor could it for it had no mouth. In fact, the creature merely quivered in Ophelia's hands, terrified of having been picked up by this rather eccentric human. Its single eye closed as it expected the worst. The only reason it had come up out of the ground in the first place was because of Ophelia's volume, and curiosity got the better of it. Nevertheless, it awaited its fate at the hands of the bubbly giant. Ophelia on the other hand, did no such thing. She merely looked at the creature expectantly, her smile slowly fading as the creature shook with fear. Small tears began to bead up in the corner of her eyes.

"Aw, don't be scared little guy, I'm not going to hurt you. It'll be ok, I'm just lost, is all. I'm alone and don't have anybody but you here..."

A sniff from Ophelia caused the creature to peek open its eye. Upon seeing Ophelia beginning the workings of a rather out-of-place sob, the creature stopped shaking and twitched its antennae, flicking them in Ophelia's direction. Blinking a few times, the both of them, Ophelia wiped her eyes and broke a small smile once more as she tilted her head on its side, expectant once more. Turning on its pointed legs, the creature looked toward the building-block buildings that Ophelia had seen before and pointed weakly toward them with a single foreleg. This was all the motivation Ophelia needed, as she took off in a full sprint toward the structures across the playful landscape, fitting right in it would seem.

"I knew you wouldn't let me down! Come on, let's go over there, then! This'll be fun!"

The creature gripped Ophelia's stomach as it flew out of her hands and toward her when she started running. Wrapping its clawed feet around her and holding tightly as to not fall off in the sudden burst of speed, the creature hadn't been expecting this kind of reaction at all. Normally, others (what would be later referred to as "Digimon") shunned the very sight of it (who would come to be known as Tsumemon). Ophelia being so colorful and happy to its rather intimidating appearance confused it greatly. Regardless, it held onto its new "friend" as Ophelia bounded forward (not on her own accord, the ground was rather pliable) with gusto. Tsumemon's single red eye remained closed, unsure of what was to come.

Ophelia however, raced on with a big smile on her face, careful not to trip over any of the large, patterned eggs dotting the field as she did so. She couldn't wait to see what else this new world had in store for her!
