Digimon Or Pokemon?

Tv show: Digimon. Pokemon was too childish without a plot (well they both are childish i guess), but digimon was different every season with tamers, people becoming digimon and that new savers one.
Games: Digimon, simply because of that one game "Digimon world" for PS1, and digimon rumble arena 2 was basically like super smash bros brawl but with digivolutions!!!
Movies: Idk I haven't watched many but probably pokemon.
Monsters: Digimon kick ass
Characters: Digimon. As someone said before, pokemon is like ash, brock and a random girl.
Overall Premise: Digimon.
Soundtrack: Digimon. #1 was best, with that funk song or w/e x). Oh and don't forget one week by BNL FTW.

TV show Pokemon had a few good moments, but Digimon had a plot line, as well as good fight scenes. (I still remember how epic it was when I saw Wargreymon for the first time.)

Games: Pokemon without a doubt, I spent most of my childhood playing Blue and Silver and I'm still playing the games even to this day.

Movies: I've seen the Digimon movie when it came out in Cinema but personally I enjoyed the Pokemon Movies better.

Monster: Digimon monsters look cooler, but at the same time Pokemon especially the first season have some really well drawn monsters. (Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise I don't think I'll every forget them no matter how old I get.)

Characters: Digimon they were just a bit more likable, altough I think Dento from Best wishes is a personal favourite Pokemon character.

Overall Premise: For me Pokemon wins, sure Digimon has a better plot but I grew up on Pokemon plus even Pokemon has it's darker moments (Just read the Manga.)

Soundtrack: Pokemon well the game music I don't even remember any of the digimon songs.

Tv show- Pokemon (Eventhough half of it are repeatitive with Team Rocket trying to capture Pikachu.)
Games- Pokemon (Bias due to not have having played any Digimon games)
Movies- Tie?
Monsters- Tie? (Although I am getting more that the main character Digimon is the same two legged reptile looking Digimon.)
Characters- Digimon (Ash and co are boring now due to him still not a fully experience trainer.)
Overall Premise- Pokemon
Soundtrack- Pokemon (Although I do love the Digivolve AKA Brave Heart.)

Digimon had movies?

Back when I used to watch these, I thought Digimon was better. As others mentioned above, it had more of a story. Also it appealed to the geek in me. >.>

My troll-astic reply is that Monster Ranchers was better than both of them. At least in MR the creatures had some real character to them. I know digimon had a little bit, but they were so flat compared to Monster Rancher.

TV show: This is the only area where Digimon clearly wins. The characters weren't nearly as one dimensional as Pokemon and the villains were actually cool and threatening.

Games: I loved me some Digimon world games, but Pokemon wins. Pokemon games are fun and addictive.

Movies: Digimon. If you don't believe me, go watch Digimon: The Movie. It's fun and hilarious.

Monsters: Hmmmm... Digimon, but there's a case for either. I like me some Weregururumon and Metalgreymon.

Characters: Digimon. Hell, even if all the heroes of Digimon were as bland as Ash Ketchum, the villains alone would still win it for Digimon.

Overall Premise: Pokemon. World filled with monsters for catching and battling beats crazy magical digital world.

Soundtrack: Tie. Unless we're counting the movies, then Digimon wins (the movie soundtrack had Less Than Jake for crying out loud).

These are my thoughts exactly.

I'm gonna go off and watch digimon now! God it has been forever.

TV Show: I'd have to say Digimon. There's something hilarious about just how fucked up Adventures 02 gets at times.

Games: Can't really go one way or the other, the core games aren't varied enough.

Movies: I have to go Pokemon purely because i haven't actually watched any of the Digimon movies.

Monsters: Digimon by far. Someone with machine guns growing out of his ass cheeks definitely is more interesting than a monkey. Sorry, Manky.

Characters: Since Digimon protagonists seem more prone to randomly beating the stupid out of each other and removing animosity i build, i'd have to go Digimon.

Overall Premise: While Digimon exist in another world entirely, the question of why the superpowered Pokemon don't wipe out the humans turned me off of it.

Soundtrack: Both are pretty bad actually, the Japanese dub of Digimon does have some decent music but in season one there's an episode where one character has to perform on a stage in order to wake up a warlord themed gecko monster, and in both versions she sounded horrible. But in the end, i'd say Digimon because of some weirdly catchy tracks from World 3.

Show: Pokemon.
Games: Pokemon.(they're some of the best games ever)
Movies: Pokemon, I didn't really like the digimon movies.
Monsters: Digimon. Pokemon are either kinda obvious following a very distinct set of rules and color schemes, or completely fucking idiotic. Really, a rock that looks like a crescent moon is psychic? WTF!?

Characters: Pokemon. We had so much more time to get attached to them. Also, digimon always seems to have that one douche character.

Overall Premise: Digimon? both were kinda cool, but I prefer the premise of the first two digimon. After that they kept changing it and some were out-right weird, but an alternate world filled with fantastic monsters that you could visit is pretty bad-ass.

Soundtrack: Pokemon. by a mile. the first themesong alone beats the entire digimon soundtrack. Speaking of, i think it's time to visit youtube.

Games: Pokemon, but the old Digimon World games were something on their own. Wish they remade them or something.

But does anyone wish that they ever remade the Digimon World games or something?
