Earlier today, I was thinking about some of my favorite games from past generations. and you know what jumped to mind?

Digimon World [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digimon_World]

Thinking about this game, I realized it was one of the most fun games I'd ever played. Yeah, the sequels sucked Ass, but the original was great.

I kinda wish they'd make a new one for the PS3 in the vien of the first one. Even at this age, I think I'd still play it.

I think of it the other way around. The first was a very flawed game, but 2 and 3 were good. Everything after that is terrible though.

I freakin loved that game, and it would actually work quite well on the DS

Think about it, the Ds could more than replicate the PS1 Graphics, the way the perspective and Combat commands were done could work great on the Touch Screen, even more if touch screen was optional.

I wouldn't really care what platform(s) it was done on, I want a freakin remake man!

I'd love to see Digimon World's gameplay with Digimon World 2's storyline... but maybe that's just me.

I HAD THAT! Although, I was terrible at it and stopped playing it after a day.

The game was fun. But it was so grindy. You would spend HOURS, grinding your Digimon to beat X guy just do die when he was finally ready. It was also unbelievable hard to figure out how to do the correct digi evolutions, without the aid of the internet.

I remember getting a Sukamon, a lot of them

I eventually made a Sukamon with so much INT that it had all of the commands, then it turned into a Numemon and became stupid again.

Complete waste of the INT chip I found in the Haunted house

A game like that would be terrible for the DS! Imagine if you were sitting on the bus for an example. All of a sudden the power runs out and you find yourself in the bad part of town because you've got too into the game.

I haven't had the chance to play this game sadly. I think I should check it out though. I liked the Digimon game that had the fighting game style to it. It's like Super Smash Bros. combined with Street Fighter.

Yeah, but then you finally got a MetalGreymon, and absolutely shat on anything in your path.

But you never know what exactly you have to do to get a MetalGreymon. I think the best LvL4 Digimon I got was Pink flying fur ball(Pixiemon?) which was indeed epic, and I don't know how to get it again.

I've only ever played Digimon World 4. It was decent, but it was really really hard. I couldn't get far at all.

I got like 4 SkullGreymons while trying to get a MetalGreymon. Not that he didn't kick ass, but MetalGreymon just absolutely shat on everything - which is probably why he was so hard to get.

Then he died of age right before I got into the last dungeon.....
