Not as impressive as I originally thought.

I imagined some kid with crutches beating down some dude and stealing his car.

I had thought both of these things, too. I mean, kudos to the kid for pulling off a feat like that, but, you know... it could've been more awesome.

Wow this sounds exactly like homeward bound... Kind of

They should have really said whether or not he had a mild form of the syndrome or not because i looked it up just to make sure i was right about which disease and yep clumsiness definitely a symptome.
Ok? What's your point to be honest..? Doesn't matter if it's a mild or major form. Asperger's = still responsible for his actions, and this had nothing to do with his disorder
I put the clumsiness on there specifically to try and figure out how he was able to drive. There are people with aspergers that can hardly hold a pencil and write much less keep a car going in at least a straight line. Also social awkwardness prevents some people with the disease from speaking to almost anyone outside their family and close family friends.
I had a teaching assistant (masters degree student who leads a discussion group) who had aspergers and she certainly didn't seem all that impaired. She spoke conversationally, confidently, and she knew what she was talking about. It's not like having aspergers means they're retarded and unable to function.

What's the kid's name, Jimmy Woods? First thing I thought of after reading this was The Wizard. Don't pretend like you didn't think of little Jimmy for a second!

I, too, clicked on the forum link hoping to find an amusing anecdote on flying cars and motivational inspiration for the disabled.

"Nobody told the boy the car couldn't fly!"

'Twould've been a fine case of mind over matter, I say.

That is why i was aking the level to which he affected obviously she learned to cope or doesn't have it as severally as others. I put that in the last post and thats why i wanted to know how bad off he was.

I can't stop thinking that this kid is going to be some kind of super hero when he grows up. When I was 13 all I did was whine and watch Invader Zim.

Probably, but I always assumed super-severe aspergers was just called autism and people with aspergers were generally high functioning. Avatar aside, I'm not a psychologist. I could be wrong.
