Discussion: When/Where will Assassin's Creed 3 take place?

Most games based on eras of time usually move on to the next period after each game. I know that most of AC3 will be Desmond in the future, but there still has to be some clues in the memories of his ancestors that could help him out. Since each game take place in eras and events in history that have DRAMATIC impact on the world, I say the France during the Revolution. It's perfect! Every seat of power in AC3 is usually a Templar, and Louis the XVI was a greedy king and altogether a prick. Maybe in this one Desmond spends a little time searching France while reliving the memories of a French descendant of Ezio, France and Italy aren't that far away( and Ezio Did say he KNEW a few French girls back in Firenze). So I say that a
AC 3 takes place in 1789-1799. I mean, it was pretty big, the French Revolution launched a period of revolts throughout Europe and brought serious social and political reforms. Plus, maybe the writers at Ubisoft could find a way to fit in someone like Charles Darnay or the Marquis of St. Evrémonde into AC3, maybe the Marquis is your first mark? So I say France, 2010 and France 1790's, when/ where do you guys think it will be?

Actually, that London idea doesn't sound half bad. I think the setting could easily fit into the Assassin's Creed lore.

Altair was the one with the Templar. I hope its not too far forward in time from Ezio. AC2 was about 400 years from AC1. So 1800 some time? I want some more back story before we get to Desmond. Plus wasn't there something about Ninjas a while back?

Actually, that London idea doesn't sound half bad. I think the setting could easily fit into the Assassin's Creed lore.

That would be great excuse for killing prostitutes. I mean a great story.

That actually sounds... Brilliant! But Jacky boy killed lone women, although it could've been false evidence laid by the Templars... Now we need to find a way to fit in Sherlock and we're golden! We have to change the name though, every PC in the AC series has a name that relates to Eagle or Bird of Prey. Otherwise, I look forward to my first victim, mate.

he is going to end up in one of the still active assassin controlled countries. Desmond should be the main character now since he is a master assassin. The animus should not be a major part of 3. Also, shaun and rebbecca should not trust desmond anymore.

I wonder how a group of soldiers would do against a legion of coutesans? Maybe in AC3 we could pay a woman a few bucks to scream in utter terror, causing the guards to come running and leaving the target defenseless. If not, we go with the old Alex Mercer/James Bond method. Knock out a guard, lead them to the real guard who is dead, pin it on one of them. Plus explosives are more available back than, maybe make a big boom or big fire or a grand fireworks to distract people as you slit his throat. And riots, lots of drunken riots.

The Assassin's hubris? That all great heroes have? Ex: Oedipus, Ezio, Altäir, Roach, General Shepard (he did a good thing but the means through which he did it were not great, that's just me when you start WW3! He had good intentions, just a bad way of doing it), Ulysses, Robert E. Lee, etc.

the assasination of Franz Ferdinand would have to be totally anacronistic for it to work. because when you read about it, the assassins were idiots. the only reason it worked in the first place was because a change of plans lead to the car Ferdinand was riding in stopping in front of the assassin. the really cool person to be in that scenario was ferdinand until he was shot. Even then I heard he stayed consious for quite some time with a bullet in his neck.

but the assassins just got lucky then.
