Dishonored - First impressions?

You say it's a Deus Ex game despite they've said a billion times it's a stealth game. One of the lead developers worked on Thief 3, which was.....well, sketchy. I'm cynical, but it still has promise.

This game immediately makes me think of two others: Wet and Velvet Assassin.
Now, I enjoyed Wet a lot. I still say there's no better game to play when you want to feel like an ultimate bad ass. That said, the game had a lot of problems. Velvet Assassin had a couple things going for it, but it fell apart around every turn.

So, no, I'm not that excited yet. Bethesda I love, but every other game they create is a failure (in my opinion). Oblivion was good, but Wet unfortunately not great. Fallout 3 terrific, but F:NV mediocre. By my count, Skyrim is going to rock... and Dishonored... uh oh.

Deus Ex + Assassin's Creed + Bioshock.
That's my impression so far, I looks ambitious at the least.

Yeah, those 7 years went by really fast.

If it wasnt for his slavedriver like attitude it could have been 14.

Not true if rumours are to believed - the reason it took so long was because upper management (and him in particular it seems) were terrible project managers. It doesn't matter if you're working 300 hours a week if you haven't got a direction to head in.
