Sad news, but could you really blame them? I think the "toys to life" thing was doomed to fail. Acitivision's Skylanders are under-performing as well.

I wish the best to the 300 people who lost their jobs.

I fucking despise these types of games. Greed at its absolute worst taking advantage of the most gullible group of all, kids. Not to mention they just breed scalper culture. I'm glad to see one go down, now only two more to go.

Terrible how many people lost their jobs though. You'd think a company like Disney could move them to a different project than just outright firing three hundred sodding people!

Of the big three toy-based video game things. I figures SKylanders would have been the first one to get cut. Because both Nintendo and Disney have huge brand power behind their little game toy things. Where as Skylanders has...Spyro...I guess. So to see Disney being the first one to cut the chord...well that's just a little odd. Then again Disney doesn't like to linger on things. They do stuff for a while and then drop it without warning or reason, it is kind of Disney's thing.

Watch in three years they unveil a brand new Disney Infinity-esque thing and everyone will eat that shit up.

Apparently Disney wanted to shift the budget to other places that needed it, ESPN and ABC specifically. I'm not sure if this is true, heard it from a pissed off Disney Infinity community member.

Infinity is actually not such a bad game. The combat engine is by Ninja Theory of DmC acclaim.

So now I am hoping that I can get that Marvel playset for cheaps real soon. For my lil boy of course ;)
