As an European it saddens me that they probably won't take this opportunity to adapt some of the best Scrooge McDuck stories *cough*Don Rosa!*cough* I know Americans aren't familiar with the Duck comics but trust me, Ducktales isn't even on the same league as those.

I mean I would kill to see Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck animated!

I concur about Gargoyles. Hell Greg Weiseman, the original writer and creator, never stopped developing the back-story, characters, and plot after the series ended. The guy would be a treasure trove of content and the show would not be the same without him, especially his talent for weaving Shakespeare into the mix.

Hmmmmm... I wonder if this is a good or bad idea..

may I direct everyone attention to Disney trying to... re introduce classic characters to a modern audience?

I also fear, the voice of Scrooge we have come to love, Alan Young, is already 95 years old. They can always replace him but it's always an awkward affair.

I'm not going to completely turn my nose up to this, but so often when companies try to bring back an old series with a "modern twist" it looses most of it's magic that made it special when we were young. I'm just not going to get too excited until I've seen something from it, a full episode perhaps.
Ugh. thanks for reminding me of that travesty. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how the queen is the big good in that show, It seems the writers here care as much about established canon as fucking Teen Titäns Go.

On topic: I'm going to watch it probably, but honestly, I don't see the point. Besides people like me, watching for nostalgia, is there really a big enough Scrooge McDuck market to today's youth? It would be like trying to resurrect Animaniacs, a novel idea, (because let's be honest, even the most cynical side of me is going "They have better kept the theme song. Please don't dubstep remix it or anything") but I would rather the work go towards somethinga little less... remakey. More things like Gravity Falls or Star vs Evil, and less of the 7D or Pac-man.

Listened to it ten times in a row already... WHY CAN'T I STOP!!??

OT: This is some pretty good news. I wonder if they'll keep the theme tune or "reboot" that as well because the old one just isn't hip and cool and down with the kids these days.

Okay, until further notice I'm just treating this like Doctor Who. Twenty years later they just start making new episodes, I can dig it. I hope Genie makes an appearance.

So, is there even the slightest chance that they will draw from the works of Don Rosa for this show, or maybe even adapt some of it outright? Because that has been a Dream for me since I got into animation.Either way, I will definitely Watch it, but I SO want the Rosaverse animated.

Would that even work? I know that Disney owns the characters of Donald, Scrooge and the triplets, but can they actually adapt the plot from one of Rosa's comics without his approval? Then again, Disney weren't that good at actually paying him for his job when he wrote stories for them so who knows. Could someone help me out here?

Fingers crossed for this not to suck.

If I hear a dubstep theme song or see lazy flash animation (Teen Titans Go, I'm looking at you), I'm out.
