I like The Here and Now quite a lot and thought Architects were good when I saw them last week. However I agree Hollow Crown is better and Heartburn is one of their worst songs ever and nearly killed their set. Can't think of any disappointing albums I've listened to recently.

Edit: Actually Stone Sour's Audio Secrecy was disappointing.

Radiohead's The Kings of Limbs was a little disappointing just based on length, but the two songs they released on Record Store Day made up for it.

Architects last album. It was ok, but...eh, I don't know. There was very little punch to it.
They got too poppy, Hollow Crown was so brutal but The Here and Now sounds like loads of other bands.

It's interesting to note that I disagree entirely with the opinions on MCR and Rise Against's latest albums. Loved them both, especially the latter.
(It's also interesting how many posts in this thread contain the words "latest album".)

On Topic: 21st Century Breakdown. If this had been about a year ago this would definitely have been posted already. The problem was that while on American Idiot the good songs were balanced out with mediocrity, on this one they got carried away with the whole "rock opera" aspect and came up with about 6 or 7 good songs, a few filler tracks, some dreadful plot-related rubbish and an introduction. Hopefully on their next album they go back to basics, and pump out a batch of songs in the vein of Horseshoes and Handgrenades (a personal favourite).

True that, you listen to Buried at Sea and then something from Here and Now...it just doesn't match up.

Holy mother of sweet god was that disappointing.

I was expecting a new return to the D&B roots of Hold your colours, but all i got was this terrible pop trash.

The whole album was just a bunch of garbed electronic sounds with no true genre, making it was far too diverse for it's own good.

Plus, the Radical change to a more mainstream tone was (as a fan) utterly embrassing.

Never again Pendulum, Never again.

(Also, you can tell that pendulum have gone down the shitter, by how much better the remixes are to their originals)

This is how Witchcraft should of sounded like.

Rise Against's latest album. I was hopeful seeing as they used to be my favourite band, but this one was more of a disappointment then Appeal to Reason was
Ninja'd. Especially so considering the songs I first heard off it, which I thought were pretty bad, were singles , which Rise against always delivered on before. Even appeal to reason had a couple of decent tracks (Re-education, entertainment, saviour), but the new album is just pants. :/

Before that, probably Killswitch Engage's newest album. I was hoping it being self titled would mean a return to their roots, but by christ it's horribly boring.
