Hello there
First some backstory. I watched a movie yesterday with a few friends, after we did the Lotr drinking game
The movie we watched was...
*opens google to check the name*
Ah yes, it was "Crazy, Stupid, Love"...
So there's a scene at the end which we found a bit... strange...
OK for those who haven't seen it a short summary for the scene I am about to discuss so you get the context

A dad and a mom divorce
The couple have a 13-year-old boy and his younger sister
This boy is in love with his babysitter who's 17
She likes his dad
To get his attention she takes nude photos of herself to give to him (the dad)
But, the couple gets back together
So she gives the pictures to the kid instead (it's a bit more complicated but this is the short version)

And this is what I want to discuss... a 17-year-old giving nude photos to a 13-year-old. When he gets them he about jizzes like most would do when a girl a lot maturer than yourself, who you like by the way, does this at this particular age. (she knows he likes her)
But how is this OK?
I mean think it the other way around, a 17-year-old boy giving dick pictures to a 13-year-old girl or a girl who's 13 giving pictures of herself to someone who's 17. I bet the latter would have created one hell of a shitstorm in media but this is OK?

I don't know if we're just overthinking things while drunk but it still worries me a little, I mean girls, feel free to send me pictures I know I'd be happy in real life but if we're thinking in the "right/correct way" then this is pretty disturbing.

So discuss movie scenes you think are disturbing
And I am not talking about "2 girls one cup" or if you watched some tentacle rape hentai but in normal movies, stuff that stuck in your thoughts or you just wondered "W T F..." when you saw the scene
And remember the spoiler box :)

Well, in my opinion it's definitely wrong. And it's sad that this kind of message is being delivered in films these days.

And, to varying degrees, played out in real life too. Not nearly as bad an example, but you know all those 40 year old twilight moms who gush over the (used to be) 17 year old male lead? Yeah...

If we're talking about that kind of disturbing, I don't have any movie examples. However, there's a scene in AC Brotherhood that always strikes me as having very unfortunate implications, where Ezio follows Christina to her home after failing epically in asking her out, and you have to tail her without her spotting you. Yeah, that doesn't feel like being a creep at all.

Sooo... I take it A Serbian Film is out of the question, yes?
Not that I've ever seen it, I felt sufficiently irritated with the IMDB plot description.

Ah, I got one. Remember Life of Brian? Great film, wonderful humour, something for the whole family to enjoy.
Then two-thirds in BAM, nude scene... I would never have guessed that first time watching. Not exactly disturbing but at least unexpected.

From a movie? Umm... nothing really comes to mind. Although when I was a little kid I was severely freaked out by this scene in Who Framed Roger Rabbit:

...

Oh, I'm not sure if this counts, but not long ago I saw a Youtube video (hey, you said footage) from a police car dash cam of two cops being shot dead by the road. You couldn't actually see anything since it mostly took place out of frame, but you could hear plenty. Turns out people make some truly gut wrenching noises when they realise they're about to be killed.

Caution: DNR the following if you have a problem with blood or sharp objects.
Any film scene where someone slits their wrists.

Thinking about it now is actually making me feel light-headed and sick. It's one of those things I just can't deal with.

Just need to breathe deeply and sit down for a bit.

Caution again:
EDIT: Very convincing screaming from pain and/or torture, being burned alive, stabbed or eaten. People's eyes being crushed into their heads (28 Days Later). Limbs being slowly twisted and broken (Saw 3), bones popping out through the skin. The jugular vein being severed.

Have you ever seen the movie Visitor Q? I don't wanna cop out or anything but...watch Visitor Q. I don't think I can talk up that movie's wrongness enough...the scenes wherein the little kid beat his mom aren't even the worst parts.

I came close to posting a compilation video from Ichi the Killer but I'm afraid it might get me reported...Ichi the Killer is about as fucked up as Visitor Q but...Visitor Q is psycosexual whereas Ichi the Killer is just hyper-violent.

Let's talk about Super.

Mainly with the sex scene...which is actually a rape scene.

Yeah, okay, so the female sidekick develops something for main protagonist, he doesn't even remotely like her that way, etc, you know how it goes. So she get's a bit... aggressive. And what results was one of the most awkward, kinda-saw-it-coming-but-didn't-expect-it-to-play-out-like-that scenes I've seen in awhile.

Ah yes the old female on male rape scene double standard. It astounds me that Hollywood still gets away with playing this shit off for laughs

Wedding Crashers had another good example.Vince Vaughans character wakes up to find himself tied to the bed then his mouth is duct taped and he is raped by Isla Fishers character.Hilariously this also almost leads to him being sexually assaulted by her creepy brother as well. The next day he even mentions that he was raped yet the whole thing is quickly glossed over and by the end of the movie he's fallen in love with and married his attacker

Cracked.com summed it up best
Obviously if you're watching a scene with a woman tied to a bed while a man forces sex on her, the final act of that movie will involve said man getting shot in the face by Bruce Willis. If, on the other hand, it's a man being tied down and forced into sex by a pretty lady, well, you're watching a wacky romantic comedy.

Actually, she get's shot in the head...

I mean like half her face is just gone!
Well that's unexpected.

Still though just from reading the plot(I obviously haven't seen it)it seems as though the rape is never addressed and is just glossed over like it nearly always is.It happens,it's forgotten about a few minutes later.Sure she dies in the end but that seems like it's more of a result of the fact that she's masquerading as a superhero rather than as punishment for being a bad person

Pretty much everything with Judge Doom in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". Seriously, Christopher Lloyd did a great job portraying him. Fun fact, Tim Curry apparently applied for the role, but they turned him down because he was too scary.

Just... think about that for a minute. If you thought Christopher Lloyd's portrayal of Judge Doom was terrifying... just imagine how bad it could have been...
