dividing infinity by two will result in an infinity thats half as big but still infinite.
MY BRAIN!

How many times would I /2 this infinity till it was small enough to see? Oh, infinitely?

hes right, sort of. you ALSO get every possible divination (of 2) between 0 and infinity both negative and positive (asuming infinity is unsigned) - ei every even number.

the answer to the question what is infinity /2 is the set of all even numbers.

ps.. your freind has theoreticaly split the universe in half just by asking this question according to several very stoned philosophers.

The infinite is a concept that we're unable to grasp as humans. In fact we can't even put a subjective value on it, just give it a title and hope it factors into our equations. It couldn't be zero, and hopefully there's maths to prove that for me, but that's not my cup of tea.
