hello everyone, so i was lurking the forums and i noticed that there is no thread on divinity: original sin.
it's a turnbased RPG with an interesting dialogue mechanic and a very interactive world,
do note that this game is not like any current rpgs, there is no questlog, no "!" above an NPC's head for a quest, you get quests by exploring towns, talking to people etc etc.
currently they have reached their goal but they still have one more stretch goal.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/larianstudios/divinity-original-sin
here is their link and a few videos of popular youtubers playing the game.
i urge you to please pledge to the kickstarter, if the last stretch goal is reached, the world will be a lot more vibrant and interactive.

This is the first thing I have kickstarted can't wait either it looks really cool
though I doubt that they will meet the 1mil stretch goal since they need about 190,000 more

there are two sites called rpgwatch and rpgcodex that did a seperate fundraiser for the game, they raised about 10k$
and then they are also taking money trough pay pal (pay pal also closes 2 weeks AFTER the kickstarter ends.)
at the time of writing they will need about 140k$ to reach the last stretch goal

I don't use PayPal, they screwed me over pretty bad a couple of years back and I haven't used them since.

I've been paid now so I should be able to get it sorted out during my lunch break.

You are correct, I found this out today watching the end of Larian's live stream for the kick starter finale. I believe that they were about 5000 short of 1mil but they sort of said they would still count the 1 mil stretch goal since they were so close, it was a bit unclear to me if he meant the whole thing or not

they actually reached it, what they did was count paypal and KS together, there is still money from the rpgwatch and the rpgcodex comming in, which is about 10k

They didn't reach it. They're 5k short of a mil, but they're gonna add the NPC schedules anyway. Everyone says that the rest is gonna get added anyway on paypal.

The Codex and the Watch have already added 1k more to the pot.

The big question is what RPG will come out first: Project Eternity, Torment: Tides of Nurmenera or Divinity - Original Sin.
Every single one of those games looks like its going to be amazing.

I think divinity is scheduled for Nov 2013 and torment and eternity are slated for 2014 this is probably because they were both started on kickstarter and divinity was already in development

Original Sin is expected to be released in October or November 2013 because it had been worked on for a bit. Wasteland 2 comes out around the same time. The other two, Eternity and Torment are coming out in 2014 spring-ish.
