Basically this.HardRockSamurai said:Looks really interesting, but I doubt it will catch on.
And what is is about guitar hero that makes the game so appealing? Its essentially the same just controled with a different periferal(sp?). I, myself, am looking forward to this, as I would rather be a DJ than a guitar player anyday. Even just looking at gameplay it looks much more challenging than guitar hero.Balderdash said:I've seen a gameplay video of it somewhere, honestly it did not look that appealing. Just a way to draw the pop/hip hop/songs without guitar crowds into rhythm games.
Please dont bash others taste in music as its a good way to make enemies.Wadders said:DJ Hero?! Oh yay, now people can pretend to be someone who is pretending to make music.
Thanks for that. It looks like there are a lot of strippers in the game from the trailer on the main page. Also I've never heard of the songs on there.xmetatr0nx said:Well there is the official website: http://www.djhero.com/
I can see it being pretty good to but it will have to be better than that to justify me buying another $100 controller.Dom Uk said:I can see this game actually being pretty good so I'm probably going to pick it up. I had the same doubts about Guitar Hero when that was first announced too so I'm still hopeful.
Don't even get me started on MTV. ughh...Fat_Hippo said:Yay everybody, let's waste more money! Honestly, the only people who buy this are gonna be kids who watch MTV. Sadly, there's a large number of those, so this will undoubtedly be succesful and a make lots and lots of money. Hip hip hooray for stupidity!
Music taste. Thats all it's really about. The genres represented in Guitar Hero/Rock Band appeal to me more than those that will probably be in DJ Hero. If Hip Hop or Pop is what someone listens to then this will be the game for them.RavingPenguin said:And what is is about guitar hero that makes the game so appealing? Interesting...Wizzie said:Looks pretty awesome to be honest with you, I'm probably going to get it if I can afford it when it comes out.
I'm hoping they put in some kind of Mash up mode, where you could use a few songs on your HD and make one awesome mix out of it.
They also have the crossfader in too, which is pretty epic which means it's keeping to DJ methods. I feared it would be, slap the buttons and maybe rotate the disc and that's your lot.
It's good to know we'll have layers of sound in it.
Also, interesting little thing I saw.
Game Modes: DJ vs. DJ, DJ + DJ, DJ + Guitar
Guitar Hero cross compatability =D
Because it's "Not real music", apparently.ChromeAlchemist said:Interesting...
And why is it everyone loves Guitar Hero but hates this concept? It's hilarious.
actually from the sounds of it, DJ hero going by name alone is not going to be actual hip hop music, its going to dance music, which likely means Party On is in the playlist. its likely going to have more punk rock, screamo and rock by lesser bandscavsfan69 said:Don't even get me started on MTV. ughh...Fat_Hippo said:Yay everybody, let's waste more money!
