Worst DLC I can think is for Prince of Persia 08 where you had to buy the epilogue -_-
Worst DLC, or worst case of DLC? It pissed me off too, btw, but I think From Ashes tops it handily, though other examples such as Horse Armor are equally deplorable.

Best DLC I've ever gotten, if one could call it DLC, was The Ballad of Gay Tony. For me it was better than the game upon which it was built, which might not say much since The Adventures of "HEY COUSIN, LET'S GO BOWLING" Starring Niko Bellic and Featuring The Amazing Slidy-Cars wasn't all that great to begin with.

The worst DLC I've ever gotten, at least that I can recall, was Firewalker. I hated the missions, it was anti-climactic, felt padded, was just plain not fun at all. It also managed to prove that removing exploration altogether was not a good idea either.

Ooh, that's a tricky one! I'm going to have to throw down and say Old World Blues like many others here. It had a wonderful atmosphere, cool weapons, brilliant voice acting and dialogue (Richie Marcus likes BALLS!).
I'd also say that Throne of Bhaal for Baldurs Gate 2 was cool but more of an expansion or a semi-sequel than a DLC.

Worst DLC? Arrival for Mass Effect 2 was fucking shoddy at best. Three minutes in a Batarian prison, a relatively easy survival stage, and then a five minute shootout to escape. Couple that up with the plotholes, poor dialogue and voice acting (and lack thereof) and you've got a pretty bad DLC.

On the other hand, I also hated Dead Money immensely. Like, beyond all reason; the environment was so god damn similar it was disorientating, most characters seemed to be designed JUST to be edgy, and taking the weapons I earned out of my hands just isn't cricket. It felt like I just picked up a horror-survival game (with mediocre horror, mind you) when I wanted to play an RPG. That, and if you don't have high enough skills in some areas you literally get trapped in that bloody place. It's probably the most stressful DLC - maybe even game - I've ever played.

Knights of The Nine falls into a limbo almost. I wasn't sure if I hated or loved it, maybe both. It felt like one of those DLC's that doesn't fit into the universe, but suddenly shoved a role into your hands and says "here you go, GLHF LUL" then leaves you to do a few quests for some seriously OP armour and fight a relatively easy boss.

I honestly never have bought or played very many peices of DLC, but... well, here's the best and worst of what I could think of:

BEST: That one piece of DLC for Gotham City Imposters (pre-F2P) that gave you and anyone playing with you on the same team double XP.
I mean, it may sound cheap, but as someone who hates how slow some unlock systems are being able to spend a little extra cash to unlock crap faster is a massive plus to me. Yet, at the same time, anyone who was on the same team as me ALSO got that double XP bonus too! It's a win-win, and is something I wish a lot of other games would implement.

WORST: That one map pack for CoD: Black Ops 1 that was just the old World at War zombie maps + the Moon zombie map.
I honestly have no idea why I bought this instead of one of the proper multiplayer map packs. I guess at the time it sounded nice because I did have fun with Zombies in WaW and I had a friend who loved the Zombies mode (whom I never ended up playing with again, sadly). However, then it kicked in that I myself wasn't a big fan of the Zombies mode, and I didn't have much fun with the Moon map... and regret settled in pretty quickly.

So much this. Fantasy in general needs more ideas like the Shivering Isles. The aesthetic felt so different from the main game, and the place was huge. I don't think Bethesda has quite matched Shivering Isles yet, though Point Lookout and Dragonborn are both cool.
