Good: Lair of the Shadowbroker

Bad: Return to Ostagar

Pick a level of quality and stick to it already.

It's been said already but Secret Armory of General Knoxx is probably the best DLC out for ANY game in my book. It had a LOT of content (10+ hours) and was absolutely HILARIOUS. I loved Borderlands, but the General Knoxx DLC is arguably better than the entire rest of the game.

Point Lookout for FO3, DA: Awakenings, and Lair of the Shadow Broker can get runners-up in this case as they were all excellent also.

I also really LOVE "The Writer" DLC for Alan Wake, but since I'm one of the 4 or 5 people that even bought the game, let alone the DLC, I don't expect that to rank very high on many people's lists. Walking through that swirling, rotating level of crazy upside-down rooms and giant typewriter buttons was just AWESOME...

The GTA4 DLC's were great.

The worst DLC I ever got was the counter insurgency pack for Splinter Cell 4. It didn't even work half the time.

Queen, Weezer, and Jane's Addiction DLC in Rock Band. Actually, just the fact that they're still bringing out great DLC on a weekly basis is why Harmonix made it so far in my March Madness voting.

Lair of the Shadow Broker on Mass Effect 2. I also want to recommend Dead Money on Fallout New Vegas, but I realize that most people didn't like that DLC as much as I did.

Dollar-to-content, most DLC is rarely worth it when compared to the original title, or even traditional expansion packs. There are a few stellar examples of DLC, and some godawful implementations of expansion packs (or games), but on the whole: DLC is a ripoff.

Best: ME2 Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Worst: AC2 DLC.

I thought Minerva's den (Bioshock 2) was fantastic.
Also this. A great story which was told as well as the main Bioshock 2 story was. Worth every MS point.

Best: Just about anything by Bioware; Borderlands; Fallout 3.

Worst: Saints Row 2; Assassin's Creed 2; just about anything else by EA.

Shivering Isles for Oblivion.

One big happy (and mad) island with many hours of fun.
Wasn't that one a full expansion?
It was an expansion, but it was released as DLC.

And yeah, SI was bloody worth every penny spent on it.

Oh yeah, because it was like incorporated into the main game, with the portal appearing after a while and shit.
