So is this game ever going to come out? Seriously it's been like 3 years and we don't even have a release date. It can't be that hard to make, can it?
Not really seeing how easily DMC3 was made and look how astonishing that game was.
I mean within the Span from 2001 to 2005 they managed to shovel out DMC 1 DMC 2 (Forget that exists for the time being) and DMC 3.

So four years minimum one would guess not counting the release between the Special Edition and DMC 4. But yeah. It shouldn't really take this long unless they're trying to invest something in a game they've already had to alter twice to please fans.

When it first came out it was marked to be some sort of sequel, but then after the negative reception they decided to make it an origins story. People were somewhat settled, but took note of all of the inconsistencies this would have with the REAL STORYLINE.

So they just said "Fuck It" and made it an alternate universe fan fiction where this Dante isn't the beloved Dante we've all come to admire and he's the bastard child of an Angel and Demon thereby removing himself from any ounce of humanity possibly giving him one of the biggest Mary Sue Titles of history. Hell I bet he drives a car called Plot Armor

From all I seen on the E3 Demo there aren't too many enemies per section which is a disappointment and there is no style meter or any sort of grading mechanism.
To be fair, the game might still get that. UI usually gets added fairly late anyway, so it might have still been under development when they made the demo. Or sometimes developers leave it in demos out on purpose so as not to overwhelm the viewer during an exposition.
In fact, I just watched the trailer again and there's no HUD at all. When was the last time you played an action game without a HUD? Even Super Mario had your amount of lives, coins, etc, above the screen. What I'm saying is, I wouldn't give up on that style meter of yours too soon.
