Just watch that beautifully written completely unpredictable ending, fluid cinematic gameplay, and awesome voice acting! Vergil sounds so motivated!

EDIT: Fixed video and added another

Mudus confrontation, and in much better quality. For extra fun turn up your speakers minimize the window.

So... sequel bait?
Not all that surprised really. Shame to see that new Dante will keep on existing if this sells well.

Remember when the actress who played Lilith called it "almost Shakespearean"?

Cool how his hair is white though.

I for one don't care about the story. Unless this involved parallel dimensions, we all knew how this would end.

The real question is; was the game fun?

No, it really wasn't. Nothing NT makes is fun

Anyway, never have I seen blandness shock people to this degree. It's not even HILARIOUSLY bad like some of the stuff I was hearing on message boards. It's just...boring. Looks like NT's conceit of the script being good turned out to be false.

I detect sarcasm. Well, of course he doesn't feel motivated. How could he? Dante just spammed the three hit combo on him for the whole damn fight. I would get bored if I was in his place. OK, he also did the million stab, what, 3 times?

I think you missed the reference though.

The worst part is Donte won with that, in like 5 minutes.

There is a demo you can play. I found is extremely boring, it was way to easy and the lines were just as terrible as that video.

Sure it is a leak but really, bad quality is bad. I can't hear or see what the hell is going on.
Here's a transcript:
Donte: We beat the bad guy and saved the world.
Vergin: Yes, and I will rule over them.
Donte: That's bad, don't do that.
Vergin: No
Donte: Let's fight

-fighting with cutscenes every 30 seconds-

Donte: I win I'm going to kill you
Squirrel Girl: Don't!
Donte: Okay
Vergin: Bye

That was revealed when the demo went public and people datamined it. The video quality is terrible but it looks even worse than his black hair.

Btw, that scrip above my post made me laugh. A lot. Pretty accurate too, sadly.

I love how Ninja Theory was hired for their originality with plots and whatnot and yet the game focuses on cliched government conspiracies (that we've already sort of seen before in DMC2) and the exact same ending boss battle as DMC3. With almost the exact moves and all.
And random Fuck Yous. Cause cool kids say that. A lot.

Well, maybe immature, dumb kids. I dunno. I get those two confused.

I was going to question how they got that video just for fun but I think I already have a couple of theories.

1. A tester.
2. (The one I'm leaning more towards) A guy that works at a videogame retail store. I work at one and one of my friends who also works at another location was playing Far Cry 3 about a week before it was released. By the looks of it, he was about to finish it when the game was officially released. It's not allowed but...I guess no one found out at his store?
But why in the world would they be logged in to XBL or PSN when they do that?!

I didn't - I just sucked at making a backreference. Vergil's line is "Now I feel motivated!" when you damage him, or otherwise impress him. I tried to say that Dante failed to impress him enough to even use the line.

I played the demo. I didn't think it was boring, and I didn't think it was bad.

Whether or not it's "good" is something I can't decide on.

Which says something when the demo for Metal Gear Rising instantly convinced me into a Day 1 purchase.

I'm still unsure as to whether or not I will get this. But Day 1 purchase is definitely a no.

There, there - now you feel special :p But it's not your fault, really - I'm not sure I would have caught what I said. I think I phrased it in a very special way as well.

EDIT: Still, though - was that fight on Easy or something? Why did the player just throw the same combo over and over again? The basic one, even.

A lot of it depends on how you look at it. It's a decent action game, but it's not suppose to be a random action game it's DMC, the king of hack'n'slashes (Bayonetta is the queen) and inventor of the genre.

From what I've heard it's normal, but I can't say for certain.

The video poster said they were playing on Normal. Again, goes to show how sloppy NT are as designers

Onimusha actually came before DMC.

You're right, since they were released so close in time and DMC was more popular I thought it was the inspiration for the genre. When I looked it up to see I found out DMC juggles actually game from a bug in that game. Themoreyouknow.jpg
