Do you get affected by people's avatars and start building assumptions about them? Has happened to me, even though I try not to.
Would that explain why you seem to have a new one every week, if not sooner? You're really starting to confuse me, here. @_@crazyhaircut94 said:Do you get affected by people's avatars and start building assumptions about them? Has happened to me, even though I try not to.
Just trying to find one that I'm happy with. But no, it's to get attention or respect or anything like that.SharPhoe said:Would that explain why you seem to have a new one every week, if not sooner? It depends on what the avatar is, of course. I unconsciously tend to pay less attention to someone's post if they have one of the oft-used ZP avatars of anything 4chan related.
If it's Calvin and Hobbes related, I do see them in a more positive light.xmetatr0nx said:No not usually, i find what they have to say more important.
Well its usually the... er it's because... I don't know how to say...xmetatr0nx said:How so?hopeneverdies said:Usually its the names if you ask me.
I get that kind of impression too.Beltom1066 said:I think that usually you can get an idea of the persons personality from their avatar. For example, SharPhoe further up the thread has a self-made avatar. That makes me think of him as a creative person. If someone changes their avatar frequently that gives me the impression that they have a very wide range of interests or they have a mind that flits easily between different subjects.
Those examples may not be correct but that's the impression I get, not sure if anyone else thinks like that.
