Ameeeen to that.

Also, people that say video-games cause violence cause violence.
In me.

Games don't inspire violence. Asshats, unfair circumstances, hormones, jealousy, wrongs done. Now those things inspire violence.

Well, in the tales of old there was a demon who believed something very similar. It plagued the lands with lies and spread it's dark lore to all corners on the Earth. The thing even went as far as to go to open war against his enemies, accusing them of poisoning the lands children. Jack Thompson was the beasts name, and the people put him in his place.

I'm sorry, it's been a dull night.

In no way do video games inspire violence. There has been violence since the dawn of man, and it declines greatly as time goes by.
I'm sure even if there was no violence on this Earth, there would still be violent video games.
They're fun.

No. I think its healthy to blow off steam in a virtual world. I vent by playing someone on street fighter or killing someone in Manhunt. People need to express negative emotions just as much as positive ones. But no - we're taught to repress them... and THAT is what makes people go on murderous rampages. Not video games.

i'd be interested in reading it yeah. personally i think the answer is no, but i'd like to take a look at your research. i remember reading a story in a newspaper about a kid who got obsessed with some game or other and ended up committing suicide. they blamed it on the game just because he played it a lot.
