I can cook...For myself.

when I cook for people, I tend to chant: "Double, double toil and trouble. Fire burn, and cauldron bubble."

It's not the very best skill for impressing women
I would be very impressed if a man I like is a good cook. I think there is a substantially larger possibility that I would be attracted to a man if he is a good cook than if he's not. But to each his own I suppose.
Ah but I didn't mean that the skill is unimpressive in itself, indeed it's a good thing to be able to say (as long as you can actually back it up, that is) but it's difficult to find a way to demonstrate it around school, work or other places where you spend time with people. Not impossible, but it takes some planning.

Being able to cook has always been helpful with women and friends. Often when I'm broke I'll tell a small group of friends that if they'll buy all the ingredients I'll throw a dinner party. I then invite at least one woman I'm looking to impress and get food and leftovers enough for two or three days for free.

I am man who knows how to cook and my friends usually give me shit for it. All the girls I've been with think its weak. So my question is do women like men who can cook really well?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes, yes, oh god YES.

I loathe cooking, going so far as living on sandwiches and the occasional microwave food. I'd totally love it if my partner in crime-- I mean life did the cooking 90% of the time. I'd totally clean up afterwards.

They like metrosexuals. If you can cook up something that looks fancy or foreign, they'll love it.

I like to think that Im a great chef. Yesterday I prepared rice on frying pan. Dunno what the point was, but it was fun.

You're kidding right, like you're messing with us?

Who doesn't like to eat? Especially if you're eating delicious food?

Hell haven't you heard the saying:

"The way to a womans heart is through her stomach"

and you can definitely say that the other way around.

I used to prepare and sell breakfast foods for a large portion of employees at my previous job. When i'm with friends we almost always cook.

If you were serious although I think you're kidding, all your friends and the woman in your life suck and have awful taste.
I wish I was kidding, but my friends mostly joke around known them since I was in middle school. Also I'm a bad judge of women. My mom taught me how to cook.

My girlfriend sometimes jokes that food is the only thing why she's still with me. And other people look at it positively, because:
1. I'm the one who can cook so on party they will not starve.
2. I'm able to cook even when drunk :D

I don't see how such high and valuable skill can be considered a weakness, given that you will be able to prepare much healthier food than your colleagues living from fast food and other junk food.

Don't be ridiculous. Cooking is a wonderful skill - I've had exactly one boyfriend that could cook anything well and I loved it.

Well people like food, people like nice food, so it stands to reason people would see it as an added bonus if their partner can cook nice food. Your friends are just being nobs and so where them girls. These people mocking you would quickly enough say yes if you offed to cook something they liked.

None of my friends can cook and I'm the only one with a girlfriend. What does that tell you?

In all honesty, my girlfriend really does love it when I cook for her and it's a pretty great experience when we cook together. So yeah, I'd say most girls probably would like for their guy to make them a meal every once in a while.

What?!? What kind of girls are you going out with who think something like that it's weak? Meh, If your cooking is good enough and if you're suave about it it can actually work in your favor. You might want to think about your presentation. Maybe it's the first impression that leaves them lacking? If you're sheepish or shy about it, that might be sending them the wrong signals. The only appropriate way to show a girl you can cook is to surprise her with something great. When she says "wow, you can cook." this is your opening to throw her a line like "That's just one of my many skills." I know it sounds cheesy, but the right kind of girl will get a kick out of this.

There is nothing unmanly about cooking to impress a woman.

Trust me dude, women love a man who can cook... Back in first year of university me and my buddy would spend 4-5 hours in the kitchen cooking dinner for my entire residence floor. Honestly I can't understand how cooking isn't be manly, especially if your cooking a nice slab of meat on the barbecue. Yes if your just making a salad or something that's weak...in which I have to say go cook some meat (and no fish doesn't count :p).
