Scientific explaination: It was your subconscious noticing something wrong before your conscious-mind could figure it out. People notice things subconsciously all the time.

Paranormal explaination: You're sensitive to some form of awareness which normal people aren't. Kinda' like some sort of "sixth-sense".

Anyways: Has it happened since? If it was just a one-time thing, then I doute that it was anything more then a coincidence.

Hmm..you're insane.

It's ok, embrace it >=3

Also, I can be in complete darkness, and someone can come in the room and I will know.

I just get a feeling something new is in the room =p

It probably just seems that way because you never really pay attention when you don't get that feeling.

Commonly known as De Ja Vu.
No De Ja Vu is the feeling that you've seen something before but it's only triggered in real time with the event. The OP is describing a feeling of premonition...

ok hear me out. a few years ago i was sitting in class, the teacher was talking about something or other, and i got this really weird feeling, like as if i knew something bad was gonna happen, and i looked back at this girl, i suddenly felt really scared, i looked back at the front of the class trying not to look stupid, seconds later i heard a thud and as i looked back at her she was having a fit.

later on that day, after school, i was waiting for my friends and i got the same feeling, it was as if i had to look over at the traffic lights, like my body was just telling me that i had to look over at the traffic lights, anyway, as soon as i looked over there i saw a boy running across the street whilst the lights were green and well the boy was hit... to my left was a woman shouting the boys name and crying, she rushed over, i turned pale and could not believe what had just happened...

has anything like this ever happened to any of you? or am i the only one?? (i mean like the 'sensing' danger thing)
Keep a record of when these things happen and see If you can establish patterns. Like feeling certain temperatures, knowing who will be involved, your relationship with them, how long the feeling lasts, how long between you becoming aware and of the event. Also be aware of any feelings that didn't result in tradegy. Try to become much more aware of what is happening to you when these feelings are happening. Then apply this knowledge to a situation and try and predict and prevent, if possible what will happen.

It's all about your intuition. It seems to be strong with you so I think you should start listening to your gut feelings more. Especially when it comes to people and their motives. If once things like this happening again, try and also pay attention to anything that might be trying to get your attention. Perhaps it's a stranger in a street or a feeling you should talk about something in particular with certain people. Be aware...

I wouldn't dismiss anything as coincidence straight away and to do so is just lazy. I'm quite a spiritual person but I don't dismiss scientific method either. Prove it's a coincidence or learn something more interesting...

Two years ago, I had a dream that my Modern History teacher died. The next day, she didn't show up at school. It turned out that she'd had a heart attack that same night. oO

Even though I'm a sceptic on almost all matters, and I know that it's just a coincidence that has no connection to what happened to her...part of me still feels guilty about that, but then I blame myself for everything.
I had a dream I smoked pot, while I was still in the military. The next day I got orders to report for a random drug screening. These are called coincidences and we have a very selective memory about these things. We only remember the time it actually happened not the 500,000 other times I probably dreamed of doing something and nothing happened.

Which is a good thing. My dreams are crazy.
don't call it a damn coincidence just because you can't explain it. if you can't explain it then just be honest and say you can't explain it.
Dreams and wishes then buddy. Have fun with them.

It is a coincidence don't make me break out a dictionary to prove it. Does that mean you have any "special" powers? No.

Do you want it to be, so that you can fulfill some fantasy where you are not awash in a sea of people just like you? Probably.

Did I fully explain what I was talking about up there? You bet. Did you respond with a slightly more coherent form of, "NAHANAH I CAN'T HEAR YOU" becasue you didn't like the answer? I would give that one a resounding yes!

Who else thinks that asking questions then answering them is a very uppity and annoying way of posting?
oh come on! i'm not actually saying i have super powers! i'm not a fricking idiot, i'm just curious/weirded out, fine it's a coincidence whatever, send your hate somewhere else, instead of insulting me. who else thinks insulting someone you don't know in real life and will never meet is rather childish? :(

I think it's a case of being more in control and aware of the power we all have, rather you having some unique one-in-a-million super power that's just special to you.

There's quite a bit of research on quantum physics, telepathy, and "oneness" which may or may not explain your experiences. The basic idea is that we all know everything that is happening to everything else everywhere in the universe since we're all nothing more than atoms arranged in a certain way, and all atoms "communicate" with each other.

You're just more likely to notice those changes than other people so you react to it. Look up "remote viewing" for an example of this.

I insulted my self there at the end sparky. I did make a few assumptions and some insinuation, about you, but that is it. You do come across as wanting to be special, wanting to make something more out of something perfectly ordinary. Which is all you need your mind can then fill in the details however you want it to. Memory is a funny thing.

Rather sounds like you have a slight touch of paranoid Schizophrenia if anything, humans all have a slight bit of it, it's something we never droped as it helped us survive in nature for so long.

there have been other cases like this, but its usualy only if someone close to you (emotionaly) is in danger. some people beleave we are genetically advancing towards some form of psi connections with each other, but I dont quite think thats it.(there has been no real evidence to back that up)

In your case, you mind might just be noticing details at a fast rate and your brain is sending you signals.

If you mean the vampire movie, then no. But "twilight" is pretty close to the name.

Congratulations, you're psychic. A pity then that you're psychic in what has got to be one of the most useless ways imaginable. You can sense danger coming a moment before it happens in situations where you're completely powerless to do anything about it. Maybe you should talk to a spiritual guide of some sort about trading in this ability for something useful that you can make money off.

You feel this often, every day.

You only remember it when coincidence came to be, and forget when it was of no value.

Congrats, you're living out your ancestors' survival mechanisms in a fun new way to look at Natural Biology.
