I am an amputee gamer you lost his left arm to cancer when he was 9, boohoo I'm not looking for a pat on a back, I play games with my right hand with a totally normal controller on default settings, I'm average on most multiplayer games but pretty beast on gears of war (don't really play the second one). Whenever I have particularly good game my mates tell the opposing team that they just got killed by a dude with one arm, they normally respond with a sarcastic comment somewhere along the lines of (yeh and I'm playing with my tv set off), so I was just wondering having heard the story, do you believe me?

honestly, i could believe it. my friend likes to fly the helicopter on GTA4 with one hand, so i could believe it.

Yeah, sure, if you've been that way for a long time then its fair enough that you've adapted to be able to play videogames with one hand

Yeah I believe it, I trained myself to play rumble roses xx with one arm.... still trying to master DOA extreme 2.... that game is tricky.

Sure I could believe it. It's not really that much of a stretch to play with one hand, even though it does make some gaming tasks considerably harder. I liked to play Fallout 3 with one hand when I was snacking or on the phone awhile back

my thumb switches from right analogue to buttons, finger next to thumb (don't know what that's called) is on left analogue, middle finger on LT and LB, don't use finger next to it, little finger is on RT and RB

PS: I actually had to pick up my controller to work that out.

If you find that hard to believe until 2 yrs ago I used my left foot for left analogue, would use LT by pushing it against the floor, it was on fallout 3 that I started just using the hand.

I can understand why they wouldn't believe you if you just beat them on something like that though. They probably think you're trying to wind them up!

I'm kind of suspicious of this but I've seen weirder things (like a guy with one leg who mastered DDR) and I'm pretty sure if I say anything but "I believe you" I'd go to hell.
So I see how its possible and that's a really cool skill.

Fair enough, I wouldn't be comfortable with putting up a vid on youtube due to dickheads, I can't give you proof that I game with 1 arm I'm afraid, I was in article in a magazine called contact but couldn't find that on net

Sure why not. I deard a report about 1 handed gaming, but the guy had a special, 1 handed gamepad. Looked pretty awesome, he was really good with it. If you don't have one, maybe look into it.
