I like stealth games so if its a good stealth game I will buy it, once it reaches a resonable price

The new voice actor just isn't doing it for me. I would prefer Bateson over him any time of the year.
I find it really weird a voice actor change would put you off a game.

I mean I liked Bateson, but I don't buy a game for the voice actor or the soundtrack.

I'm buying this game to murder tons of people in different ways
Thats the reason why you are buying it not me.
And a person that you are going to hear for half of the game is a big deal.

But he even in the previous game 47 rarely talked?

Whatever, choose to be weird.

I'll definitely be picking it up.

Yes, he barely talked, but when he did, it was stupendously voiced by Bateson. It helped that Bateson was also the model for 47, so, in a sense, he is 47 (or was, anyway).

That dismissive attitude is a bit irksome.

OT: I probably won't be buying it. Everything I've seen and heard thus far has put me off from the game, and I really have no intention on picking it up based on that.

So my question for all of you, do you give a damn about this game?
Of course ^_^ Stands at equals with metal gear and the earlier splinter cells i think. I have always loved being able to disguise myself and walk freely, instead of having to tiptoe around. I also like how the past games were more like puzzle games, having to figure it out etc.

Not too much has been shown yet though, so cautious optimizum at the mo.

I'm honestly more interested in the three game Hitman collection coming out eventually than for one new Hitman game. I've only played the second one.

Well, since you asked for my opinion.

No, I'm not. I'm not interested in any of the Hitman games, for that matter. I guess I'm a stereotypical girly girl. But games like Hitman are just too "manly" for my tastes.

Games that catch my eye tend to look more like this. I'm addicted to cute. Cute makes me happy. Cute are the things I tend to like to buy and talk about in relation to video games. Hitman isn't cute.

Gritty and grimdark is for when I'm talking about things like politics. I don't like it in my video games.

Moreover, from what I gather that has been exposed to me, it looks like another game about a dude to does badass things to look badass. In this case, a mercenary. And in the recent video, hey a bunch of females! Maybe this game will have... oh wait no they're immediately taking off their nun-uniform in a stripper routine. Pass.

Hitman: Blood Money with updated graphics and gameplay? Sold! I'll definitely be getting this one either day one, or soon after. I was disappointed that the only way they could think of to advertise this game was that horrendous saints trailer. Simply ridiculous.

So because the trailer shows a guy fighting woman it's immediately 'not for me'?
Why do you feel the need to immediately challenge someone for having their own personal taste which does not include this game?

I am interested but not to the point of preorder. If it appears solid on launch then I will probably pick it up. Dishonored also interested me but I think I would prefer Bioshock: Infinite over it, from what I've seen I prefer the infinite's world and aesthetics.

I'm really looking forward to it too. I replayed blood money several times, on different difficulty. I like Contracts too

Not in the slightest. But to be fair, I'm not the best person to ask when it comes to excitement over a new game of any kind. I wonder if that would change if there were no more sequels to absolutely anything for awhile and new games were being pitched.

Not that I'll find out in even the coldest of hells.

I'm still curious as to how they're going to balance out the actual "Hitman-ish" levels that are more true to the originals, and what they're planning on doing with the "SplinterCell-ish" levels.

The most recent demo they showed actually looked... alright. Acceptable, at the very least. But everything else they have shown looks fucking terrible. So I'm on the fence.

WHY would anybody be interested in this? If you think Absolution looks cool go play Splinter Cell Conviction, if you like Hitman go play Blood Money because as far as im concerned absolution looks like mindless violence porn with no sense of the freestyle subterfuge that made Blood Money so unique. Hitman had so much untapped potential it pisses me off greatly to see it fall pray to marketing department logic of "well apparently Hitman is like a stealth game and Splinter Cell is doing well lately, lets do what they do with with more awesome blood and violence for our hyperactive teen demographic"

(Sigh) I guess the fledgling genre of subterfuge-em-up will die just like the space and god game genres because they don't earn 40 million in the first week.

Except that the entire game engine and design has been shown to STILL revolve around subterfuge and stealth... with just enough action chucked in to make this man a BELIEVABLE genetically-engineered murder machine for the sake of narrative.

You know. Because sometimes not -everything- in a story can be solved by hiding in a dark alley. Or because, gods forbid, the player FEELS like just going through and shooting everything and having it be FUN.

That's all they've done. Added a nice little boost to the quality of the gunplay on top of an already excellent foundation of stealth and subterfuge.

But by all means, pop in and feel free to start telling people what to like.
Folks like you love to do that sort of thing. You just MUST know better than the rest of us.

Well, sorry... but I think I'm going to take a chance and formulate my own opinions.
