Nah. This is Sweden, a lot of Swedes see Halloween as an American imported pseudo-holiday which boils down to kids coming to your door unasked for and telling you that you have to give them candy.

Oh, and they always confuse the date for Halloween with the date for Allhelgona, so up to four days in a row they ring your door.

I don't really celebrate it so much as have it forced on me. I live in Salem, MA and thousands of tourists come here to 'celebrate' Halloween in the Witch City. It's kind of strange but after a while it's pretty nice. There's less of a 'give me candy' feel and more of a general gathering in fun costumes for one night. For some strange reason though, three people get stabbed every year, exactly three.

My plans for Halloween are centered on a mind blowing hangover.

We don't celebrate Halloween here in Denmark, but we do "celebrate" that the Tuborg Christmas beer hits the stores.

Yes, Halloween is materialistic and it's supposed to celebrate the dead or whatever, but you know what? it's changed. A lot of things have changed. Halloween is now a time to have fun, dress up, and be silly for a little while.

I enjoy Halloween. The dark and Gothic themes paired with candy make it an interesting time indeed!

I don't celebrate it, just acknowledge it and attempt to think of something to do before the trick-or-treaters get here

I celebrate it in a semi relegious sense. Not to the letter, but the day has a much deeper spiritual meaning to me than sweets or Trick or Treating, which in England aren't a very big thing anyway. So yeah, I'll have some candles lit out the back of my house and I'll be going out and having a drink.

In the British Isles it has always been celebrated, having it's roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain, the festival probably pre-dates the Roman Invasion, which could make it one of the worlds oldest continually celebrated traditions. The America's seem to particularity like it, and that has led to the celebration being exported to nations which don't have a Celtic history.

I celebrate it, it's also damn convenient that Bonfire Night's on the 5th November, so quite often you'll have a Halloween party and then a Bonfire Night party in the same week. Then you have Christmas to prepare for... busy part of the year Winter.

Dressing up in costumes, going out and drinking possibly in the company of a large bonfire and fireworks (although we need to save some for Bonfire Night)?

What the bloody hell do you think? :p Of course I celebrate it!

Haha, no one saw the Sweden's surprise attack on North America coming, but in hindsight all the signs were there.

It's always the quiet ones. :p

I only celebrate halloween if there are any decent parties going on and there will be two this year =D

I'm going as a zombie doctor to one and an American tourist to the other

If by "celebrate" you mean get drunk and dance at a bar? Then yes, I intend to celebrate. Of course, by that definition, I also celebrate Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Normal day, we don't really do much along that lines in Australia. Some kids will try to run around and make something of it, but we don't really care to be honest.
Same in Poland. Kids think it's funny, I've seen some masks in shops...
Finland falls to the same group.
