Do you cheer over patriotic works hostile to your nation?

I'm grateful that I was lucky enough to have been born in a first world country like Canada to a middle class family. But I'm not particularly patriotic, other than feeling a twinge of pride when Canadian athletes win medals at the Olympics.

There isn't much anti-Canadian media out there except from Quebec and that's more anti-anglophone in general.

I honestly don't think there are any that slag off Australia (if there are, I'd love to hear them). I know that New Zealand and Indonesia hate us (we don't care), but I don't think either nation has made a song about it. While the kiwis do still do that cute little dance they think is scary before sports events, it's not really anti-Aussie.

Not really because most patriotic works against the US are performed by third world nations, who do those works as a purely laughable form of propaganda.

The Patriot is one of my guilty pleasure films, even though it turns my countrymen into the Das Reich division: I find that the nationalist hostility of films gets a pass depending on how competent it portrays the demonized nation, which is why I hate so much Hollywood WW2 garbage.

The British are totally incompetent in the Patriot though. The best you could say about them is that Jason Isaac's character is pretty good in a fight.
