I have a small collection of guitars (I'm at 10 now, but it's always expanding), movies, and, strangely enough, still have my POG collection from elementary school. It's very satisfying to get play POGs with a friend for drinks.
My manga collection is getting rather impressive, to the point where I now have to sneak new books in the house under cover of darkness since my parents don't think of it as a valid collection worth my money. And yet my stepmother collects dragon figurines, so I don't see where she has room to talk.
Also, I recently got frustrated with a good friend of mine being too hard to buy for, so I arbitrarily decided that she now collects teapots and gifted her with four. Thankfully, she saw what I was getting at and agreed to start a collection, which means every gift she gets from me in the future is now going to be a teapot.
I don't really collect anything, although I'm thinking of starting to collect books. I've always dreamed of having a little library ever since I was a little kid.
I thought about collecting glass paper-weights at one point, but I figured there were better ways to spend my money other than just buying things to say that I have a lot of them.
Classic Lucasarts adventures, right now I'm spying for The Dig and that Indiana Jones fingy. I also plan to read the entire works of Iain Banks and Iain M. Banks, but I'm at a very early stage.
I used to collect empty Tictac boxes, mainly the fruit ones, I made a mini castle out of them. Then disaster, my mum threw them out. Other than that I would go with books and pretty beads.
I have lots of stones from different parts of the world. I used to collect them as a kid, not so much nowadays. I just don't have a place to put them anymore. But I just can't help myself picking up stones that have interesting colours or shapes.
Video Games (Up to 863, and all of them in alphabetical order.) Books (I have the entire works of Jeffrey Deaver, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Kim Harrison, Pierce Anthony, and Anne McCaffrey.) and also weapons. I have various knives, swords, staves, axes, and other various weapons lying around. I even have a blowgun and bladed cards.
As well as a SuperSuper rare Oddworld book, worth about £300. Only 100 of them in the world, and mine is Number 2: http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/oddworld/folioedition/index.php
I have a wide collection of really intelligent and attractive friends. I don't quite know why there are so many of them, they just pop up from time to time and I put them in a sack to add to my group. It makes for fun times when they all start arguing.
I have an ever growing mask collection. It's been destroyed and rebuilt about twice now (my brother loves to destroy my shit). I've been collecting masks since middle school, and I still can't exactly explain my obsession with them. Just to name a few: Israeli gas mask, Rorshach mask, Guy Fawkes/V for Vendetta mask, "Buckethead" mask, various paint and wood respirators, several cuts of neoprene, etc. I plan to pick up some leather soon so I can start making my own. On a funnier note: every female I've ever known hates my mask collection.
I also collect hats. All kinda of hats. Not like that neighbor who has a million baseball caps hung up on his garage and he has an unhealthy obsession with dirkbikes and ATVs. I collect all kinda of funky hats that I wear on a regular basis, from fedoras to top hats to cowboy hats. I plan on picking up a real, authentic bowler hat soon. Not those plastic $0.50 hats you get at Party City either.
