Sexually transmitted diseases...

No but seriously, books (I buy about five second hand books a week). This week a James Joyce "Reader" (compilation of his works), Psychoanalysis and Feminism by Judith Mitchell, Look Back in Anger the John Osborne play, Will Pop Eat Itself: Pop Music in the Soundbite Era a book by Jeremy Beadle (not that Jeremy Beadle for any English readers) about sampling and postmodernism in 80's pop music and Civilization and its Discontents by Sigmund Freud. EDIT: And Japan America, a book about America's increasing fascination with Japanese culture.

Unless it has been sold an illutrated copy of 1984 (Orwell) is in a branch of Oxfam I think I will pick up tomorrow (it will be my sixth copy of the book so I guess I also collect copies of 1984).

As I am sure with many people I also collect anxieties and student loans.

I have seven books on The Sopranos, and about 25 of the BFI (British Film Institute's) Film/Modern Classics (all second hand) don't know if thes counts as collecting though?

p.s. For me (and this isn't to cast aspersions on anyone else's collections/collecting habits) I define books as a collection on the basis I desire to own them more than I desire to use them.

I love to keep the little plastic wire ties from toys and electronics! Things like that I think one day I'll find a use for them! I started collecting adidas shelltoes when I first opened an ebay account! I ended up with about 18 pairs of shell toes + like another 10 pairs of shoes/trainers(sneakers to our Atlantic cousins) I also like clothing with the number 84 or 23 on it! (DOB 23/06/84) I dunno if this counts but I also like to collect photos of injuries Ive got from falling off my bicycle drunk!

I collect collectors/limited edition items or statues. Such a waste of money, but they are so perty. I swear my office looks like a gamer room sent from hell... or heaven dependant on what person you are

souls of the innocent and virgin's tears... ... ... Okay, not really.

I collect dragon figures (stone, metal, and plastic), dice sets, table top game miniatures, and Magic the Gathering cards.

About 13 years worth of bottle caps. I think initially it was the different designs but then it just changed to keeping all the ones I could remember to hang on to. They're all in a drawer, nothing special. I just add to them whenever.

I collect Hats, I've done this ever since i was 8 because I hated fixing up my hair because one part would always stick up all the time and I just started wearing hats into public to hide this fact. Even though I currently buzz cut my hair I still prefer to wear a hat and I have about 35 of em.

Money. Old money.

I recently acquired a 100 Ecuador Sucres bank note. In Canadian dollars, this is worth less than half a penny.

I also collect things from the Soviet Union, and games. Steam is very helpful, as are the places you can download games. (Legally! Like gamersgate and DotEmu)

Hats. Not old or valuable hats, but just different varieties so I can be ready for any occasion. I shall not be one of the Poor and Irish commoners who wander hat-less through the streets.

I started because my mom collects hats (Old/valuable ones), but I wanted to have more variety. All my mon has are things like Bobby (British police) helmets and top hats, whereas I've got chef hats, turbans, Boonie hats, tricorner hats, and Star Wars helmets (Darth Vader, Clone trooper and Boba Fett).

I'm starting to build up a collection of dragon statues and I'm thinking about starting a Necron collection when I can afford it.

I actually barely played Fallout. I've been collecting them since before I knew of that series.

I'm just kind of OCD.

My bed is watching me. It's judging me.
