Or not, as the case may be.

I just think, 'What would it matter if they were?'

I'm sure some Lilith fans or lolicons, some aren't, some are into furries, some into mint imperials, it's all more or less the same.

That's considered loli? Really? From my googling, she just looks like a not-well-endowed teenager. *This* is a loli character:
Soon the internet will consider anyone 16 loli I swear.

Wait what where?

How did I miss this? I don't remember seeing that. Somebody screenshot me.
I did a quick Google with little solid results. In this [http://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q1029973180] conversation the OP is saying that Canaan is actually 20 years old. He's arguing that Canaan was 18 years old during the Shibuya incident, and the story is set two years after that.

Edit: This wiki [http://www40.atwiki.jp/canaan-jp/pages/22.html] seems to back that up.

I hope she is an adult. Because when I first saw her, I have to say I thought, "my God, that's one sexy, badass woman". Being badass and independent makes women sexy, in my book.

Also, some of you may be looking at the moefied fanart. I started to like Lilith because of her in-game sprites, not fanart. I liked Lilith before I was big into the internet anyway, so I didn't even see a lot of Lilith fanart.

This is Lilith's sprite.

And this is Morrigan's sprite.

If you'll notice, they have the exact same eyes, face, and legs. The only difference is actually hair colour, boobs, and hair length.

I'm probably pretty shallow. As I'd probably have wound up liking Morrigan's sprite if she didn't have those boobs or that long hair. And in turn like her actual character just as much. Though there are some things I already don't like about Morrigan's personality. She seems so fixated on her own beauty and that's a turn off. It's like Morrigan has too much self esteem in how she looks, and Lilith has too little.

I have some things I dislike about both of their characterization. But I'd at least like Morrigan's sprite just as much without the long hair+boobs combo. Back when I was first playing the games, and Lilith was first introduced, I have to admit, I was pretty happy to be playing as a character that wasn't as curvy as Morrigan.

There is no inequality between men and women in society,
Factually incorrect. Wages alone are significantly lower even if the same work is done, and there is a massive disparity in health care, for example. Men get paid viagra, a luxury, whereas women can be denied the pill, even in cases where it is a medical necessity, for example to prevent cancer.
Factually incorrect. The following is from swifteconomics.com, but a fairly basic grasp of economic theory would have led you to the same conclusion.
Suppose you're an employer doing the hiring. If a woman does equal work for 25 percent less money, businesses would get rich just by hiring women. Why would any employer ever hire a man?

Many people seem to believe that businessmen, (I mean businesspeople, sorry), care about nothing other than making money. However these same people also seem to believe businesspeople discriminate against everyone but white, Protestant, straight men with no handicap and well parted hair. So apparently, businesspeople do have values other than making money: they are racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, Christian fundamentalists. Well, at least they have some principles, right?

The truth is that businesspeople discriminate in favor of the color green; money. Market economies discriminate mightily against those who discriminate. If it were true that men make approximately 33% more for the same work, companies that predominantly hired women would crush companies that predominantly hired men. Ask any business owner what would happen if he or she could decrease his or her labor expenses 25% and he or she would tell you he or she would soon be hiring his or her competitor's employees (as his or her competitor's employees would be unemployed, because his or her competitors got crushed).

Also, there is not a 'massive disparity in health care', whatever that means. I am assuming you are from the USA, so this is written from a US perspective (I am English). Given that Americans pay money for their health care, there is clearly not going to be a difference in price for the same ailments, as under current gender discrimination laws this would be an easy target for litigation. Illnesses or conditions that are specific to women are not usable for the purposes of your argument, for obvious reasons. I will concede that the necessity/luxury is biased towards a male perspective, but I am sure that it will be resolved soon.
I apologise for the long reply, but this sort of statement irritates me, especially when the person making it has the temerity to imply that they are factually correct without quoting statistics or reasoning.

How old is Lilith? If she's younger than 16 (16 & 17 are kinda grey areas), then yeah, it makes you a paedophile, just one who hasn't fucked real little children.
No.

No? No.
I must've missed the part where being attracted to pre-pubescent people isn't paedophilia and being attracted to pubescent people isn't ephebophilia. Did that change at some point?
I've seen pre-pubescent often as younger that 11-13, while the ephebophile area is 14-17. Plus it isn't so clear cut with fictional characters in an anime style, especially if extraordinary circumstances are involved, like in the case here with Lilith being a succubus.

That girl is, in canon, 9 years old. Not a typo and not joking. She hasn't even made double digits. She is also however an Angel.

See how gray it all is?
Gray in terms of dictionary definitions, a clear cut case of paedophilia legally. Also, that's pretty freaking disgusting.
Forgive me if I don't see how it's disgusting, as no studio would make a show where a character is 9 and looks to be at least 20, especially in comparison to all the 14 year olds around her, and play it straight. The show plays everything for bizareness by giving people a world where nothing makes sense.

While I'd argue it is a bit more gray than you're letting on, let me give you another example.

Now, I'm afraid the picture isn't fantastic to illustrate my point, none of them are quite that good on the net, but look at her. How old would you place her? Her body is that of a 14 year old (Again, the picture doesn't illustrate this well. Hard to get a picture of just her) but really, she is way older than that on account to essentially her body stopped ageing when she became immortal, so she is implied to be about 100 years old at least. So is it 'Paedo-ish' to find her attractive, even though legally, she is 100 years at least?

The network in Japan found it to be legally okay, and broadcast it, rather nervously (Lolicon isn't smiled upon in Japan, but this instance was ruled not loli). Despite her frame, it was okay.

It's gray, no right or wrong answer.

Conversation is starting to turn serious. No place for Calumon.

I never said only underage people look innocent. I said that innocence, on top of everything else, is just another thing that makes her look underage.

Yeah I don't know. Maybe I've been looking at the wrong images, but if she's this:

Then yeah, she looks pretty damn underage. She's on par with my 13-year-old sister, and that creeps me the fuck out, especially if she's supposed to be a succubus. And it's not just the flat chest, it's especially the face. It just looks so very young.

Fighting games and Darkstalers included have a problem of making female characters for sexual gratification, while not male characters.
Actually, they do. Overly-ripped macho men are the same deal as those voluptuous bimbo's; in both cases the character's secondary sexual characteristics are taken to ridiculous extremes.

How exactly do those things make it any less gross? "It's supposed to be weird so it's okay!" seems to be the gist of it, and I have no idea why that would be a legitimate argument as it doesn't change anything about it; it's a 9-year-old with a cup E or something wearing a small bikini. Weird anime or not, that's what it is.

BTW...

Loli with a gun.

Doesn't look very loli does she? In-'verse she's 12. Which IMO, is loli.

Lulz Yotsuba-chan you so cute.

Not lolis. No really, they aren't. Why don't you believe me? They're in high school!

XD

Now, for the bonus question:
Loli? Or Pettanko?

Pfft don't cheat and look at the filename! D:<

I have a sudden desire for Little Caesars pizza pizza....
My WTF-O-meter is reaching critical levels here.

She's 1470 years old, about 4'10", ~80-90 lbs.

Actually, they aren't. Those tumor filled men aren't there for the titillation of the female player.

Oh boy, reason. Considered by vast quantities of men to be "unreasonable feminist rage".

For the 9001st time, because, the goal is way different. Both of these things are fanservice for primarily heterosexual guys.

Funny that, you don't even provide a counter-argument, you just say "No" And you also simply cut away the explanation I gave in my post as well as if it doesn't matter. Instead of, y'know, actually trying to prove me wrong which is usually what one tries to do in a discussion.

Look, it's simple. Both male and female characters, in fighting games, are often presented as overblown caricatures of their gender's physical appearance. Men are friggin' Adonises and females voluptuous goddesses, both done by blowing up their secondary sexual characteristics to ridiculous extremes.
LilithSlave said:

Oh wait, they are! [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secondary_sex_characteristic#In_humans] There's more to sexuality than boning.

Because I've already done so thousands of times before. It's getting tiresome.

It's also sad and pathetic how something so obvious has to be explained.

Except that your explanation is wrong, and therefor you are wrong, as I've shown in my edited post. Yes, musculature in men is a secondary sexual characteristic, and yes fighting games often blow those up to ridiculous extremes. And that's making a caricature of the male gender, as they do with the female gender.
RedEyesBlackGamer said:

Doesn't make it less hyper-sexualization. It's making a caricature of a gender, which is done in both cases. And I'd say that in both cases it's pretty bad. Not to mention revolting.
