Do you drink?

Most Saturday nights my friends and I drink and hang out around a fire and talk about what we've done the last week. I'm a big rum drinker but most of the others go for whiskey and tequila.

No, I'm not old enough but I have tried it (long story). Two reasons.
1. I've discoverd I am a huge lightweight.
2. I've yet to find a drink that tastes worse.
Well firstly practice makes perfect, everyone starts off a lightweight although body mass does have something to do with it.
Secondly its an acquired taste, everyone hates it to start with, most end up loving it.

I only drink occasionally, recently I haven't felt like drinking lately, but when I do, I tend to go for Glenlivet.

Yes. I enjoy being drunk and I somehow never get hangovers.

Don't drink often tho, I have a really high natural tolerance so it takes some work to get drunk. And liquor aint exactly cheap, I have to drive out a few hours to even get any cuz I live in a damn dry county X(

Hell yeah! Then I go on Facebook and say "O MAH GAWD I'M SOOOOOO SHITFACED" only I make sure to spell a few words wrong so people know how drunk I am.
I must say I love seeing that :p

Delicious sarcasm, btw :D

I drink socially.
I was tempted to make a crack about being shitfaced right now, but that would be in poor taste.

Having a few drinks with friends in a good relaxing setting is a fine thing, but like anything good in life, moderation is the key.

In moderation, yes. Getting a buzz while playing party games and joking around with a large group of friends makes for a great time. I can't stand it when people don't know when to stop, though. Had a friend of mine get handcuffed and thrown in an ambulance, only to wake up in the hospital that next morning with essentially no memory besides having been yelling at the devil.

It's mostly obnoxious and having to babysit exceptionally drunk people ruins a lot of fun.

There's nothing desirable about alcohol that would convince me to drink. I hate the taste of it all, it doesn't benefit people in any way except temporarily occupying their minds, then they have to face their troubles in the morning.

As a member of the current teenage generation, my opinion is rather biased. A vast majority of my peers all get absolutely shit-faced at weekends, and my respect for them is tiny. It isn't even responsible drinking, not to mention they're breaking the law, but hey, I've been put in my place for being a morally up-myself dickhead on this site before, I know I'm a knob.

No, however I use to. I stopped majorly because of my long time girlfriends traumatic incidents with alcohol. Strange enough it's alot worse than other people's incidents with alcohol because her are many, involve suicide and her at the age of around 6 having to hide all the knives in her house so her own brother wouldn't go slicing at the wrists.

Alcohol can destroy people. There's no need for that risk.

Rarely, if ever.
It merely holds no appeal to me. Being drunk = loss of control, and it occurs to me that I hate the idea of losing that.
On the rare occasions I do drink, I drink spirits. For some reason I hold up well against them, hence, I've never actually been more than vaguely tipsy.

Don?t really like the tats, most of it is pretty awful. Alchopops can be ok but the alcohol just ruins them to, especially when you get to the bottom of a bottle. I?d rather drink something I genuinely like.

That plus I don?t particularly like being drunk; I have been before, not to the point where I was throwing up or feeling sick though. It made me even more unsteady on my feet, made it difficult to speak and generally just made me feel slower. I wasn?t what I might describe as a pleasant sensation.

When I happen to visit a party or a get-together with good company, and alcohol is available, then yeah, I won't say no.

Unless it's beer. I hate beer. Well, unless it's mixed with something else, but regular, ol' beer I hate.

Not anymore. My body dealt with alcohol badly enough as it was before I started donating blood, now I simply cannot deal with it at all. I've only tried drinking once since I first donated, and three straight days of hangover later, I decided to stop.

I drink. Mostly for social reasons. It just makes everything so much more fun. I dont get so bad hangovers and I often dont regret the things Ive seid and done the day after. But I do respect the ones that have choosen the non-alcoholic path.

Yes. Yes I do. Stereotypical student here, only with less vomiting, and far less casual sex. I hope the two aren't related.

But I try not to get too drunk. Drunk Joe (i.e me at the point I stop remembering things) is, according to everyone, a total asshole.

Regularly.

I enjoy one or two of the many fine tasting different kinds of beer available (Fullers especially) almost every day, and live in a nation/culture where (a quite large) consumption of alcohol is the standard fare.

Unlike most others, I didn't start drinking until the age of 20 though, which is very late around these parts (14 - 15 being the usual age to start), and I very rarely get intoxicated enough that it's unpleasant or leads to a hangover.

Yeah I do. I love vodka. Just can´t help it.
And I´m german...we have tons of awesome alcoholic beverages.
But I don´t drink much, I go out with the intent to drink like once a month, even less, and if I go somewhere without the intend to drink, it probably settles to 2-3 Beers and a shot...
Been quite a while since I was hammered.
But I never lost my memory, this is crucial.

Because then you can mock your friends...and you know with whom you´ve slept, and can avoid nasty suprises if your mind is still sound. I always know where I am, too, only most of the time, the way home is a mystery entirely. XD
