Do You Enjoy Simulators?

I've tried to get into the more complex simulators like ARMA, or IL-2 Sturmovik, but those games aren't exactly easy to get into. I'm not much of a tactician and I don't like having to remember 100,000 keystrokes just to take off. Besides, I'm not that into military stuff, even though I come from a military family. Also, I really dislike IL-2's tutorials.

Have you tried turning off all the realism options for IL2? On the standard level of difficulty flying and shooting things down is quite tricky if you lack experience, but you can turn all the realism options off in the options menu if you so wish and turn into a flight arcade game like hawks. Hell, you can even make yourself invulnerable and bounce off the side of mountains if you so wish.

The thing I really like about that game is that you can fine-tune the difficulty to your level of ability, and then incrementally increase the level of difficulty as you improve.
